2 months later

It did not take long for things to go back to semi-normal after the battle. As it turns out, Jake did not kill Eric and he is now the new alpha of the Ruby pack. Martha, Katie, and Eric had made it their side jobs to help me build the Silver pack back up. Eric took it upon himself to provide most of the funds for it, saying he felt guilty for what his former alphas had done. Martha and Katie helped me with learning how to run a pack, where the best places were to look for potential members and building a home for everyone in the Silver territory.

Speaking of building my home, the packhouse where I and a few others will be staying is nearing completion and it is beautiful.

Big white marbled pillars all around, large windows to let in as much natural light as possible, huge double doors made of white birch wood, and plenty of room for various purposes. Every day I am getting closer to holding my first meeting in the Alpha's office. Which I am pretty excited about.

Word of the Silver pack rebuilding spread like wildfire. I guess having an alpha who whipped out half of the most dangerous pack helped make us popular. So far, I have had about 50 new members join, and there are plenty more wanting too.

Even Cathy joined. She was the first one, of course. If members keep joining at this rate, we will be as big as the Sapphire pack by the end of the year. Soon I will have to pick out a beta and a few others that I can trust to help me run the pack efficiently.

I walked through the opened doors of the Alpha's house onto the large porch and stood at the top of the stairs, my hand perched on my hips. The new stone path that I wanted to go through the pack grounds is already underway, bring the picture closer to completion. Around the Alpha's house, a few homes for pack members had already been built along with a mess hall and a training ground. Everything was coming together nicely.

Just as I was acknowledging a couple who had waved at me as they walked past, a sketchbook popped into my view. On the page it was opened on was a drawing of a medicine bottle with a small white flower. The label on the bottle read "White Flower Tea."

I glanced over to see Rick with a hopeful expression as he held the sketchbook out. "It's a nice drawing, hon," I said warmly.

The dark-haired man smiled at me and shrugged. "It's my idea of what we can use to trade and make money. We can turn the anti-wolfsbane flower into tea and sell it," he explained. "That flower, and other various plants that we've found on this land, has attributes that you can't find anywhere else."

"That does sound like a good idea," I agreed to nod my head. "We will work out the details of that later."

"Sounds like a plan," he hummed.

We stood there for a few moments, quietly watching people work on the stone path and other buildings.

"I was unaware that you could draw," I commented glancing in Rick's direction. "You're good at it."

"Thank you," he said smiling again. "It's something I like to do in my free time."

"When you're not making soap?" I teased.

Rick let out a gentle laugh and poked me in the arm.

"That soap making is helping make the pack a little bit of money. So, be nice."

I laughed at him as I gave a quick peck on the cheek.

"I'm sorry, hon. How about we go and see if there is any way we can help with any of the buildings?"

Rick wrapped his arm, now no longer broken or in a sling, around my neck, and kissed me on the head. "Lead the way, Alpha Sophie."
