Do you hear the children singing?
Ever so softly
A quiet melody
We all share inside.
Our beating hearts keeping time
We sing our hopeful medley
Hesitant at first, but ever more steadily
We sing united as one.
We sing of hardships,
We sing of loss.
We sing of injustice,
We sing of broken trust.
We sing of hope,
We sing of peace.
We sing of dreams,
We sing of love.
We sing songs long forgotten
By the adults of the world
Take a look at our world
Listen to the children sing.
Do you hear the children singing?
Ever so softly
A quiet melody
We all share inside.
