Omniscient's POV.

There's a refrain from a beautiful song called Halfway Love. A sweet melodic song with wine tasting like lyrics. A sound that makes you imagine yourself next to your bedroom window, just sitting there and watching the patterns created by the rain water as it falls down.

The lyrics say, "Out on the floor, there ain't nobody there but us. Girl, when you dance there's a magic, that must be love."
Alex would always sing the song to Mercury each and every day. She knew exactly that Mercury didn't know how to dance but for the fact that her hips always swayed from left to right like a professional dancer, Alex loved and adored her for not thinking the worst of her dance skills, "that must be love."

She herself knew that she couldn't sing but she sang to Mercury every chance she got because that made Mercury happy.

"You my sunshine when my vision is cloudy,
You taste like red wine, I love the taste of your body.
I'm so intoxicated, by your love.
You're the melody that's stuck on my mind,
& you're my remedy, you've been that the whole time.
I'm so intoxicated, by your love."

She would always sing her a song called "Sunshine", which talked about how she makes her feel, how her body tasted like and how she stimulates her mind. Mercury would just be sitting there and looking at her, holding back her tears. Words could not express the way she felt towards her.

She sometimes thought that her words won't make sense hence she always tried her best to show her how she feels through actions. It was the littlest things that most made Alex happy, like being treated like a Queen because she is one. "That must be love."

A lot of things about Alex changed, we could say for the better. The close minded Alex was gone, the Alex that once thought being with another masculine woman is disgusting or rather too gay. The first time she realized she was into Mercury she tried by all means to deny the feelings she had.

She became weak on her knees everytime she saw her, she paid attention everytime Mercury had something to say and not forgetting how angry she would get when Mercury would start texting Chris. It was a beautiful thing but she thought maybe it was just lust. I guess "that must be love."

Their love could be described as diamonds and not stones. Diamonds that knew their worth, diamonds that wanted to shine together because they knew that together they shine the brightest. The watering type of love, the type of love that required patience, that had misunderstandings, that had the happiest moments and the I'll be by your side type of love. I guess, "that must be love."

The respect and energy was reciprocated. "I can't be with another woman who won't return my love", Mercury would always say. "And I can't be with another woman that isn't you", Alex would respond. "That must DEFINITELY be love."

The crew grew together like a family. They always knew to have each other's backs through the good and tough times. Though sometimes they had to question themselves why one of them had to die the way she did. They missed her so much.

Avah still cried herself to sleep thinking how things would've turned out if Venus was still alive. She visited her graveside each second week, just to sit there and talk hoping she would hear her voice one last time. I guess, "that must be love."

She got used to girls throwing themselves at her but she was still in love with Venus. She didn't look nor entertained them because they weren't her. Sometimes Alicia would try to make her understand that Venus wasn't coming back and maybe she would also want her to move on because holding on to something that's not coming back isn't healthy. Avah with her stubborn ass would always laugh that off and say she knows. I don't know if "that must be love."

The only thing she wanted was to have a conversation with her and hear her say that she allows her to move on. Moving on by herself wouldn't sit well with her, she always thought that she would be disrespecting Venus.

Sometimes it's better when you and your partner actually talk about death, because leaving a person clueless on what to do multiplied with pain of dealing with the person's death is just another type of heartbreak.
