Novels and their final statements
Leave lasting impressions
When the back cover of my own story nears, what will my last page say?
Would it taste bitter and longing?
Could it mention those who I loved?
Might it clash against those who wronged me?

I want my last page to be a string quartet
Let it breathe with the easiness of bow on strings
It should ring with the triumph of violins
and sigh with the content of the double bass
The love my life fruited should show in the major

And let there be a reprise
Allow my last page to reverberate and echo
Spilling out of the mouths of those closest to me like raving reviews of last night's opera
Reaching back to those furthest
Let me be remembered
