S H E watches Eira running away from her scared for her life and she understands what those sick people who played with her would have felt when they saw fear in her eyes however her ex-husband liked her blank eyes way more. He always said that he wants (needs) her eyes without hopes and wishes. That was his greatest desire he worked quite well at.

Her red eyes turn towards Laith who looks equally puzzled and scared. With a pounding head and feeble body she walks towards the couch stumping on them. But since the fire in her was ignited there was no need for anything else but work.

She needs to work.

Hard.

She ignores her body and mind protesting against her will and her icy cold eyes turn to look at Laith who was looking at her cautiously.

"What do you have on him?". She snarled as she didn't wish to take his name

Her husband moves away from the place bringing a medicine knowing she is in pain and she sends a small smile watching him worry for her even after hearing most of the things directed at her.

Laith timidly places the papers in front of her that he had been wanting to show her all through this time. Her husband sits beside her placing his hand on her leg for a little support and her body shivers under his touch which she blames on the alcohol on her system.

If he wasn't here through the whole scene he might have not understand the reasons behind how lethal she looks at this moment.

It was her right.

He would have done that too he knows she was trying so hard to finally live and someone come shoving her back down.

He has seen that glimmer in her eyes when he unexpectedly catches her watching him. Those times when he will speak just about anything knowing she loves to hear his voice and that his voice calms her down. He has seen her hoping for once and all of this is breaking her down, again.

The words Eira utter intrigued him and had him beyond mad at how low she thinks of his wife. If anything, he knows she was a gem in this world. And just how everyone wants to have a gem to themselves. Everyone was after her.

He doesn't understand the role each of them had played in her life but he wouldn't care anyway. He had been trying very hard to control his anger but to his dismay, it went down in vain. He had been having thoughts he shouldn't such as killing every single person who had played a role to turn her this way.

He had often wondered if she had grown in a much better environment how beautiful she would have turned out. How is that now people had stopped valuing life? Her family brought her in this world and they had done a very poor job at it. They were supposed to provide her, protect her and comfort her however the day he had met them he knows they have a very big hand in her going mute.

It wasn't a surprise he was a doctor placing things together is easier for him. A child first support and protector are their parents and if they failed that leaves a rather big scar on. He had seen cases and 95% of the cases that were of the same reason of not being able to speak or not wanting to was because at the time of nurture they were left by their parents.

It's a natural way and whoever disrupts it there are results of it. A child is connected to their parents and the first words are taught by them, encouraged by them, repeated by them and if they are not- there is destruction.

She throws the paperback down sighing massaging her fingers on the side of her pounding her when her husband holds her hand drawing comforting circle on it.
