Soviet awoke to find himself in a cell. He groaned and sat up. The floor didn't feel comfortable, at all. Memories of last night's events came back to him. Panic began to set in and he looked frantically around the room.
He started trying to get out but to no avail. He sighed, defeated, and sat in a corner of his cell. He heard shuffling behind the wall he was up against. "Hello?" He called.
"Папа?" Russia's voice called back.
"Are you okay?" Soviet asked.
"I think so... What about you?"
"I'm okay."
"Do you know where we are..?" Russia sounded nervous.
"Нет (No)..."
Soviet heard footsteps coming toward his door. He went silent and watched as his door opened. A small male stepped in, he looked around the hallway quickly before closing the door. He turned and faced Soviet. "Hey..."
Soviet didn't say anything and glared at the male. The male approached the cell. "I-I'm Small..." He stuttered.
"What do you want?" Soviet snapped.
Small flinched. "I... Are you hungry..?"
"Why would you want to know?" Soviet scowled.
"J-Just wondering... I don't want you to starve..."
What Small said surprised Soviet. "Huh?"
"I don't want you to starve... I already fed the others, it's only you and Russia left..."
Soviet was silent. "So...are you..?" Small repeated his question from before.
Soviet's stomach grumbled. "Да..." Soviet murmered.
"I'm hungry, too.." Russia called the other side of the wall.
"Okay.. I'll be back as soon as I can. If Middle, Tall, or Buff come in, please don't tell them I was here..." Small walked towards the door.
"Okay, we won't. Right, Russia?" Soviet looked at the wall.
"Mhm!" Russia responded.
Small smiled slightly and left the room.
Soviet Union POV
When Small left the room I leaned against the wall and sighed. "He seems nice..." I heard Russia say.
"Russia, don't. He works with them. Sure, he's gonna feed us but we can't trust him." I told my youngest son.
Russia sighed. "Right...sorry..."
"It's fine.."
We sat in silence for a few moments. "Hey, Папа?"
"Да?"
"What do you think the others reactions to this will be? We're missing now..." Russia's voice quivered at the last sentence.
"I...don't know..." I sighed. "But they'll start looking for us, I know it.."
"What will my siblings say... Ame... China... North... My friends..." I heard Russia sniffle.
If I could hug him I would. "Russia, it's alright..."
"Нет! It's not!" Russia let out a soft cry.
I heard my room door open and looked towards it. I saw Small. He was holding a plate of food. He walked to a button amd pressed it.
I heard scraping sounds and saw my cell door opening. But Small pushed the button again before it got big enough for me to escape. I sighed and watched as he walked to the door and slid the plate through. "I'm sorry it's not the best..." He murmered and stood up again.
"It's fine..." I crawled to the plate and set it on my lap.
"Hide it between the loose rocks in the wall when your done. That way the others won't see it when they come in here." Small walked back to the button and pressed it. The cell door closed all the way.
I nodded and watched him leave. I began eating. A minute or two later he came back in again. "Hey..." He greeted.
I raised a brow at him. "I uh...I gave Russia his food... And I heard your conversation..."
I stopped eating. "...I'll try convincing the others to let you guys share a cell, okay..?" Small looked away.
Once again, I was surprised by this. "Okay..." I responded.
Small nodded. "I have to go now.. Bye."
"Bye."
He left the room quickly.
