Saturday night

Dixie's POV

He had taken us to Nobu, ordering us the yellowtail and scallion roll, the baked king crab, and the salmon avocado.

I wore a red dress, shoulders exposed, material falling around my calves, my wedges buckled around my ankles.

We sat across from each other in the booth, Grifin smiling at me over plates of seafood.

My stomach did a backflip. I hadn't been on a date in almost a year. The last boy I dated was named Logan. He had curly brown hair and bright blue eyes, and treated me like a goddess. We had broken up when I told him I was moving to Los Angeles. We ended on good terms, but I still thought of him now and then.

The date was perfect, and he was a gentleman, walking around to open my car door when we were parked in the Hype House driveway.

"Do you want to come to my room?"

"Sure," I said, his eyes open and honest, looking into mine.

We headed upstairs, Tayler passing us in the hallway and clapping Griffin on the back. I rolled my eyes, following him into his room.

11 PM

We were watching a movie in his bed, my head laying on his chest, eyes fixated on the screen.

"I'm tired," I mumbled.

"Do you want pajamas?"

"Yes."

He got off the bed and pulled a big t-shirt and boxer shorts from his dresser.

"Sorry, it's all I've got."

"It's okay," I laughed, walking into the bathroom to change.

I came back out five minutes later, his t-shirt bagging around my small body, plaid red boxer shorts peeking past my thighs.

I scratched the back of my head, heading towards his room.

Clunk, clunk, clunk.

I turned my head toward the sound, watching as Addison pulled her suitcases up the stairs.

She looked up, meeting my eyes.

She paused. "I'm back."
