Nyx sat up from her desk, blinking slightly before sighing quietly, rubbing her forehead and checked the time. 2:03 a.m. This office might as well be my room. She grumbled drowsily, leaning back on her chair to stretch her arms. Maybe that's why NightDragon mentioned that they wouldn't want to be principal that one time. Nyx shook her head, sitting up and went over to head out of the office, but then she stopped at the sound of soft snoring. She looked over and blinked to see Nox sleeping on a spare desk that was in the office
"N-Nox...?" she whispers, walking over and gently tapped his shoulder, but he only mumbled and grabbed Nyx's arm. She stiffened and quietly yelped when he pulled her down and hugged her. She blinked before glancing at Nox. Is he really this strong? She thought to herself. She looked towards the time before looking at Nox, but then noticed something at the top of his desk. She slightly peeked over the edge with little to no movement in case she'll wake up her sleeping puppy, and noticed that there was two finished stacks of paperwork. Wait... She looked towards her desk, and noticed that there were two lesser stacks of paperwork. Nyx looked back at him, Nox now having a small smile on his face as he slept, and she smiled quietly and leaned slightly on him, closing her eyes and catching sleep again.
Nightman walked down the hall as he yawned, Nightglow walking beside him.
"So how has it been since the last time?" he asked her, and she just glanced away.
"It could've gone better. With the whole, eye patch and scar buddy thing that Bounce almost mentioned." she responded, her arms folded in front of her.
"Yeah, and I don't get why he only asked you and not me when I joined about a month ago." he shrugged.
"I just hope that whatever happened back there doesn't happen again."
"But you know that it's bound to happen, Nightglow." he said with a small smirk on his face.
"Mhm." she hummed bluntly yawning before she knocked on the door before walking inside but immediately walked out, whispering, "Nope Nope Nope Nope Nope." and leaned against the lockers across from the door.
He raised an eyebrow before he peeked inside and gasped quietly, and he grinned before he dug into his bag and pulled out two wolf eared headbands. He walked over carefully, placed one on each of their heads, and backed up slightly before pulling out his phone and quickly snapped a picture and he then fled the scene.
Nightglow stared after him and sighed heavily, shaking her head and walked inside, closing the door behind her, and went over to then wait patiently for Nyx and Nox to wake up.
Minutes later, she heard two notification sounds and a few rustling. She turned her head and saw Nyx checking her phone but she was abot to drop it, so Nightglow moved swiftly and caught her phone before it fell on the ground, and she placed it on her desk.
"What the..."
She looked over her shoulder and got into eye contact with Nyx, Nox yawning and rubbed his eyes.
"N-Nightglow?!" Nyx exclaimed, Nox snapping away and they both stared at her as she just nodded her head, "If you dare say anything to Nightman or Mystic...." she narrowed her eyes, but Nightglow raised an eyebrow and passed Nyx's phone to her.
"I just came in to ask for my schedule." she said, waving her hands reassuringly.
"So... you won't say?" Nox said with a nervous smile and pleading eyes.
"Sorry to ruin your safety bubble there, Nox, but I think you should instead say if you and Nyx have to go after Nightman." Nightglow held her hands up.
Nox looked confused and Nightglow gestured to the top of her head, and he reached a hand over and his hand bumped against the ear.
"NIGHTMAN!" Nyx shouts, rushing out the door and stormed off, and Nightglow and Nox could just hear cackling being heard outside.
"U-U-U-Uhhhhh..." Nox stutters, and Nightglow just walking over and pat his shoulder.
"What in the world happened?" she blinked and looked over to see someone, and heard Nox slightly growl at the boy. She frowned at him before getting up and walked over to him.
"You must be Lennox, the kid that went on vacation from what Nightman told me. How about we talk outside and I can explain a few things while you explain a few there to me." she said.
"I'm so confused." he whispers, leaving the room. Nightglow looked towards Nox and nodded her head before heading out to talk to Lennox.
