Chapter 47: Delilah's Story | The Great Camera Tragedy

"Delilah!" Plushie grinned and tossed the other the banner, in which she quickly grabbed.

"Careful, the stick part might hit someone." Nightglow cautions, Plushie having her tongue still out as she nervously grinned.

"Hey, Delilah?" Clunk comments, "Do you think you're going to tell them the "Camera Tragedy" story?" he asked.

"And I am going to tell them that story, thank you for suggesting that song!" Delilah grins at Clunk and he just grinned back.

"Oh no, if it's something dear to your heart even though it's not a living thing, I'm going to lose it." Nightglow grumbled, hiding her face in her spare large puffy pillow and Mystery just patted her shoulder reassuringly.

The great camera tragedy! Now come closer and listen to my words.

"D-Delilah, what the heck is that voice for?"

"Just let her have her moment, NightClue."

"Wha- You two again?!"

"..."

"..."

"Ciao adios! I'm done!"

"NightClue, stop making song refere-..."

"Lavender, let me have my moment! 

... Alright? Then? Anyways, it was way back in the day, and I had my favorite cream pink camera, and being so young I didn't know the mechanics of a simple camera. And one summer, me and my family went off to go sight seeing and hiking.

And you know darn well that I was taking pictures of high sights, animals, plants-

"Basically anything that to a child you would want to see."

Yes! Anyways! Near the end of the trip and we were heading back, I noticed something wrong with my camera. It seems to not want to take pictures, and as a child I don't know what to do. And I guess like any child, I started crying and asked my parents that I might have broken my camera. They took it for about about a single day before weirdly giving me back the camera and photos.

And when I was a bit older and a bit more smarter, I asked my parents about that moment, and they just responded with that I used up my entire camera roll, and that all the pictures they gave me that day were all from the trip. That entire roll! Was from that single hiking and sight seeing trip!

".... Wait what?"

That was my reaction too!

"And even though it might not sound as tragic as it seems, it sounded like the world ended right there for me." she grins, Nightman thinking the scenario in his head several times as Violet patted his head.

"Don't put yourself in a loop, now." Violet told her friend as she saw him slowly losing his mind.

"Delilah tells everyone this story every chance she gets. If it's from the first camera she owns, any trips, or just what was your first taken photo." Clunk explains.

"Huh. Good to know." NightDragon comments.

Delilah grins cheekily as she reached into Tara's hat and pulled out a piece of paper and did a quiet drumroll before opening it for her to read out loud.
