Chapter 38: Tara's Story

Bounce gave Tara the banner and she thought for a moment while trying to think of a story before figuring one out.

Years ago, me and my family were on a camping trip. It was like any other day, but it was about like a week there. And around one of the days, we were going to be going fishing at the local lake where other campers frequent for fishing, either for camping or because they want to fish to feed themselves, or as a hobby.

And when fishing, my mom pointed something out, so me with my father went over to her so that we can investigate, and we saw that mom was pointing towards something that looked a bit off in the mud.

"Wait, was it foggy?"

Um, kinda? It was very early in the morning when my parents decided that they wanted to go fishing that day.

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this...?"

"You should."

"I won't hesitate and throw something harder at you, Lennox." 

A-Anyways, um. So my dad went, got a stick, and tossed it over, and we all almost screamed when the head of the snapping turtle just popped out of nowhere and snatched onto the twig, and that got all three of us to book it out of there, and soon enough we just keep getting encounter after encounter with snapping turtles. So we called it a day and decided to just fish at the dock. Good thing it was early in the morning.

"So a snapping turtle." Nightman murmured, thinking about it while Tara nodded her head.

"Yeah. I like turtles, yes, but almost getting bit by one wouldn't be something on my bucket list." Tara nervously smiled.

"Well, lucky you. I think I got my finger bit by one." Cora murmured, glancing away as she tried to remembered and immediately Nightglow shivered at the thought and shook her head.

"C-Can we just continue before my brain overthinks it and makes me think of different scenarios as to how it happened?" she asked.

"Oh, of course! And that next person next is," Tara moved papers around in her hat before pulling out one.
