"Jacob! Put me down!" Tara screamed as Jake dangled her body over the pool of water. Everyone was outside just lounging around the pool having a relaxing days, after a few days of the group constantly going back and forth between earth and home, they've finally gave themselves a few days off, since everything is sorted for now. It's been a couple of days since I bumped into Shea and learnt a little bit about Sam, roughly nearly a week since I last saw him properly.

And after multiple walks in the market and still not seeing him, I decided to fully let him come to me. He knows who I am, where we live and hopefully soon about himself.

"Tara! You're literally the water element why you so scared of water?" Jake laughed, his laugh echoing around us.

"I'm not! But you should be mr fire element, if you drop me I'm bringing you down with me," her body was now tightly wrapped around Jakes making him stumble slightly before shrugging and leaning forward, gravity dragging both their bodies into the pool of water. Laughter filled the air as we all watched the couple surface, brushing their hair out their faces.

"Jacob!" Tara screeched making laughter roar again around them, Jake now having a sheepish expression on his face.

"Love you," he coed pulling her into a hug. After a small eye roll sent in his direction she hugged him back, them then resulting in just floating around.

"How you holding up Colby?" I turned and met Kats eyes as she brought a can of white claw to her lips a soft content smile on her face.

"I'm fine Kat," I smiled back bringing my own can to my lips. "I'm happy where I am, content even,"

"What about Sam?" She whispered "are you not slightly worried at where he is? It's been days colbs," a quiet sigh left my lips as I shook my head

"Of course I'm worried about him Kat. Way to worried about a guy I haven't met properly but I don't know where he is, if he even wants me. Wants this life!" I explained sighing again closing my eyes and shaking my head. "It's a hard life for someone who's being thrown into it like ten years to late Kat,"

"I'm sure he'll want you colby," she muttered shaking her head "he just don't know it fully yet. You've read about the-,"

"About the connection, yeah I know," I cut her off before taking another sip of the cool liquid, my ocean eyes now looking at the group in the pool, Jake and Tara being joined by Devyn and Corey. "But he won't understand the connection Kat. He don't know anything about this life,"

"You don't know-,"

"I do know that Kat," I cut her off again placing the can on the table next to me. "If he did he would of told me when we first met. He wouldn't of ran from me that night with the guards. He wouldn't have to sneak near the house for whatever reason he was, he would of been able to tell the guards oh I'm the missing element and I've finally decided to do my job and come home. He wouldn't be hiding wherever he is!" I ranted at her. I ran a slightly damp from sweat hand through my hair roughing it up and then moving it out my eyes.

"There could be reasons for that Colby!" Kat muttered harshly "did Shea say anything about his parents? Maybe it's them,"

"She said they would scare people away that got close to him," I whispered.

"Exactly Colby so stop being so harsh and mean to him when you don't know what he's going through," she snapped, shocking me, before pushing her body out the chair and joining the guys in the pool. I sat there for a few more moments watching them have fun with each other, laughing and joking around before I finally stood up and walked over sitting on the edge of the pool.

Cool water surrounded my legs as I dunked them in swinging them back and forwards slightly leaning back on my hands. I had noticed how Kat seemed to avoid me, swimming to the other side of Devyn so she stood and floated between us before starting up a conversation with Tara as Jake and Corey played, Devyn watching them.

As the sun started to go down and the lights flicker on everyone migrated inside, towel drying before flopping on the couch.

"God I haven't had fun like that for ages!" Tara explained throwing her hands in the air. "I felt so complete for a while," she sent Jake and Kat a knowing look as Jake threw his arm around her shoulder.

"I know right, no need for earth trips for a while, a few days break with you," he does dragging the 'u' out way to far then it's meant to go. I rolled my eyes at the trio knowing exactly what they were doing. They may of felt complete but I felt like a whole half of me was missing and they knew that.

"Ok ok I get it!" I snapped forcing my self to stand up shaking my head.

"Colby..." Kat muttered making me glare at her.

"Kat hush! This was probably your idea. Oh yeah guys let's guilt the person who slated their partner. Let's rub it in his damn face he don't know where his partner is!" I snapped waving my hands around trying to desperately get my point across to everyone. "I don't feel complete ok! I never have. I'm suffering while everyone else is having the time of their lives. I feel so alone and no one seems to care," my hands linked against the loose strands of hair as water filled my eyes. "I want nothing more to find Sam but I can't. I can't have his parents push me away before I get to know him, before he knows me before he learns about who and what he is. Why does no one seem to understand that?" I sobbed.

"Colby..." Tara whispered standing up and leaning up to me, her arms locking around my waist tightly. "We didn't know," I sobbed out loud again covering my mouth above her head.

"No one ever asked," Kat soon stood up and joined Tara hugging tighter if possible. "I want Sam of course I do," I cried shaking my head "but I can't risk loosing him before I get him," I admitted squeezing my eyes shut.

"You won't-," Jake started before I quickly shook my head.

"You don't know that Jake, no one does. I have to let him come to me. I have to," I muttered breaking out the hug from the girls, my arms falling to my side and fresh tears filling my eyes. I soon quickly walked past the group and towards the stares feeling suffocated by the sympathetic stares being sent my way.

The usual quick walk felt so much longer as I did the walk to my bedroom, glancing at the spare one opposite it, the door tightly shut. It was the one room in the house no one entered, it was locked when we first moved in. No one has tried to open it since we were all assigned our own rooms. After a quick shake of the head I headed into my own room, closing the door securely behind me leaning by head back against the plank of wood closing my eyes.

I have to wait for Sam, let him come to me. However I know there's only so long I can wait and hopefully it isn't to long.
