"So how long do you think he's going to be like that?"
Omar sat next to Guzman at the bar of the club that they were at. Not too long before Guzman came, Ander was downing drinks back to back until Omar made him stop. Now he was on the dance floor, drunk and slightly high from weed dancing with anyone who would dance with him. They wouldn't even be here if Ander hadn't begged Omar to go out with him tonight.
"Depends on what you mean exactly" Guzman said taking a sip of his beer "do you mean just for tonight or how long he's going to continue getting drunk and high like he's been doing the past two weeks" he pointed out.
"The second one" Omar answered.
Guzman shrugged he didn't know for sure himself. He never seen Ander like this before. Even though they had there differences when it came to his little sister, he still had a heart. And he felt bad for his friend right now and wanted to help him get better.
"I think it started when him and my sister broke up two weeks ago" Guzman informed.
"He loved her...he still does" Omar said to him.
"I don't think he did".
"Why do you say that ?" Omar asked turning his attention away from a dancing Ander turning to Guzman.
Guzman had put his beer down taking his eyes off of Ander as well. He sighed but then explained to Omar what he meant "I'm definitely not the one to speak but for my experience..if you love someone, you wouldn't want to hurt them or put them in a position to lose them" he said.
Omar squinted his eyes at Guzman. He didn't understand him fully but he understood where he was coming from as a caring brother of the young girl who got her heartbroken. He did think what he said was partially right. Only partially though.
"You could love someone and still hurt them..but that doesn't mean you don't love them" Omar back.
Guzman looked at the boy like he was weird. Even he knew that Ander cheating was wrong. Honestly he didn't think Ander loved his sister. Because if he did so much than why do the most hurtful thing in a relationship and cheat? That was one of the main reason's why he didn't want them together in the first place...now look what has happened. Guzman thought back to his and Lu's situation.
At the beginning of his and Lu's relationship he did love her and after a while he did fall in love with her. Over the years he of course thought that no one could compare to Lu no matter what happened between them. She was apart of his world and he was her world (see the difference). But that all changed when Nadia came into the picture.
