Illegal Life (Kaitou Joker Fanfic)

Part 1

Part 1: Joker is gone.

"What? Joker's missing? Are you sure he's not messing with you, Hachi?" a male voice in the other line asked.

Hachi's tears kept on flowing "Yes! I can't find him anywhere! He said he will came back here before twelve yesterday! But he's not anywhere in the Sky Joker!"

"....okay, calm down now Hachi. I'm sure he's still nearby."

"No! Mr Joker had set this airship to go to Spain after 12:00 pm!"

"Wait! So that mean he's still at Maldives?!"

"I guess so Mr Spade. Please, Mr Spade, I don't know what to do!"

"Calm down now, Hachi...," the voice reassured "This is Joker we are talking about. That guy may an idiot, but he knows how to take care of himself. You just wait there and send me your current location. I'll pick him up and go to you soon."

"...thanks, Mr Spade!"

".....what the heck?"

Joker looked around him. He cannot recognise where he was. Everything seem weird for him. He was chained up to a metal cross with his hands, body and legs were chained attached the cross. Tho he was chained up, he still not yet got any injury. That was what he was thankful for.

"Finally awake, Joker?"

"You!" he shouted at a certain lady "You're the one who bought me here aren't you?"

The lady smiled "That's me, alright. Don't worry, you're only our subject. We will let you go afterwards," she said.

He mesmerized the lady standing before him. She have a pale skin almost just like Queen's. Her hair is dark grey that was braided to three and one of it was tied up to a high ponytail while the other were beside her face. She wear a dark blue two inches high heels, a pair of strips white and blue long socks, a dark blue skirt matching her heels above her knees. She wears a white turtle neck shirt that was stuffed in her skirt and light grey coat that reached her knees. Not to forget her steel blue eyes.

"Who are you?" he asked, surprisedly manage to hide his nervousness.

"Veronica! But please, call me Vee," she introduced herself, putting her hand on her chest and bowed.

"Why...are you doing this?"

"Abducting you? Before that, I might need to explain this whole thing first before I tell you the reason why."

"Go on ahead," he sighed. He need to understand the situation first before he escape.

"How to explain this in a short way...," Veronica pursed her lips, rubbing her head. She shrugged and looked at Joker "This maybe a bit long."

"Oh please, you underestimate my power of having to listening Spade's speeches everyday."

She giggled "Then there's no need of hesitation! Okay, first of all, I'm not a Phantom Thief like you. I am a scientist plus a magician!"

"Remind me of Lupin," Joker said to himself 'How's he doing anyway?'

"I now work at an illegal organization to creating a lots of impossible things with my lil bro, Vernon. After years of working on this certain experiment, I finally did it, with the help of the organization's high technology yet illegal."

"Okay...," the silver hair boy raised an eyebrow "What that supposed to do with me?"

"You'll be my first experiment subject! Boss said if I want to do my first ever experiment on people, I need to find an extraordinary person! You, my dear, are the perfect subject! I want a miracle maker to be my first!" she exclaimed happily.

"You....," he sighed. He doesn't know what to react. He was happy when the scientist said he is an extraordinary people, yet at the same time terrified cause he will be the sacrifice of some illegal experiment.

The scientist on the other hand, giggled seeing his hopeless expression. To her, it was really funny.

As Veronica amused herself with him, and Joker cursed for his luck, suddenly, the door that connected the room with somewhere opened. It revealed a woman, maybe in her thirty. She wear a light brown fur coat with two long high heels boots. Her hair was dyed ash blonde and her eyes are dark green. But Joker can guess that are contact lenses.

"Oh hi, boss," Veronica waved "I'm back."

The woman, who Joker assumed is the boss, didn't bother to give her a glance. She ignored her and stared at the silver hair with interested expression. Joker for once felt exposed. Especially in his tight up situation.

"When I said about catching Joker, I can't believe you actually did it," the boss said.

Veronica grinned crossed her arms on her chest "I told ya'. And I did," she said filled of pride.

Still no changing expression, the boss said "Whatever. Now that we caught Joker, we can do plan X right away."

The scientist shocked. Her sudden changing face make Joker get full interest - and a not good tinggling feeling too, since he can see that is not good.

"B - But boss! Plan X is deadly! Aren't we already discussed that whoever I caught will not involve into any of that plan?!" the dark grey hair lady shook her head, clearly not wanting to do what the boss said.

The boss turned to looked at her with annoyed face "I don't care wether it was you who got him or not. You work for me so you have to listen to me. Got it?!"

Veronica stared down, placing her hands on her back "Yes boss," she said, almost a whisper.

The ash blonde hair woman turned her head away, focusing back on the captured thief "Good. I want the plan start tomorrow morning. And I don't wanna hear any fail," she commanded. She walked away toward the door and went out.

Joker faced the gloomy scientist. But to his surprise, her reaction was unreadable. Which make him wonder, what was she thinking?

Or planning?

But he shrugged it off. He need to focus and create a way to escape here.

The sound of the plan X make him felt not good.
