Her screaming were blurry. The rains did a good job covered it for her. She cried and cried. Her skin were becoming more paler thanks to the cold.

"Why....?" she gritted her teeth, clenched her hands to a weak fists "Why did this must be happening to me....?"

The rain might be pouring all over her body and face, but you can still see her tears. She faced up the sky, not caring at all the strong dropping rain can give her high chances of cold. She cared less anyway. Her knees met the ground, while her clenched fists still beside her. Not caring at all that people passed by giving her strange looks.

She could cared less.

"Boss...," a brunette appeared, with two other people.

She still didn't give a care, or bother to spare a glance. Her heart were too broken. Nothing can fix it.

Nothing.

"Stop looking, you imbeciles!" Veronica shouted at the crowd who started to surrounding them. Unfortunately, only few people from the crowd listened and walked away. Most of them still stayed and trying to watch the 'drama'.

Fortunately, she brought her revolvers.

Vernon watched his sister scared away those 'flees' by shooting at the sky. Who wouldn't be scared? Some maniac kept shooting at the sky with cursed words. Who sane enough to stood there? He shook his head.

"Boss...," Kai walking closer to the crying woman "Boss....."

After making sure no flees nearby, Veronica walked over toward them. She kneeled next to her superior and placed a hand behind her back. Matilda finally faced away from the sky and stared at the dirty side walk. Her mind were full of things, Veronica didn't blamed her for that.

"Boss...everything will be fine," Veronica gave a comforting smile. This time, Matilda spared her a short glance but then staring back at the ground. Kai kneeled over and hugged the poor lady, not caring at all that his clothes will be wet. Well, it has already wet anyway. Thanks rain.

Matilda felt the warm embrace. But sadly that cannot fix anything to her broken heart. Everything was ruined for her. Everything. This was the most hurtful heartbreak that she have ever received. More hurtful than before.

"Guys! The police are coming!" Vernon shouted. Indeed he was right.

"S###! Why are they here?" Veronica cursed.

Kai gave her a look "Probably because someone thought it was a good idea to shooed the crowd with revolvers. Two revolvers."

"Shut up," she hissed "At least they're gone."

"And so are we if we stay here one more minute," Vernon came toward her side. The boy was bringing a big black bag with him if you noticed.

"Okay. Let's go now. Boss...?" Kai looked at the heartbroken female. Matilda finally went back to reality, looked at the brunette and made a nodded. Kai understood and helped her stand up.

Veronica let go of her back. She faced her brother and said "Well. Better go now. This town is suck anyway."

They walked away from the previous spot. With Vernon and Veronica led the way, Kai and the boss followed close from behind.

Matilda cannot looked away from the image that kept popping in her head. She can't. Her light, her sun, her warmth, her beloved.

Dead.

Gone.

How can you just tell her to move on so quickly? How can you just tell her to forget the past?

"Breaking news! Kaitou Joker, have manage to escape again with the stolen object! The Golden Cure!"

"Wow. I was planning to get that," Veronica muttered, stopping her track and staring at the humongous screen. The building screen, not just one but few more, showed the news about the famous Phantom Thief again. Sometimes other adds.

"Why do you need that, Vee?" her brother asked, stopping as well. Which in addition for that making the other from behind stopped as well.

"That's for my newest juice. But that dude got it first, dammit."

Matilda decided to looked up. Why would those two idiots suddenly stopped their tracks? Don't they afraid of getting caught by the police?

When she looked at the two siblings, she noticed that they were staring at a huge screen. She too then looked at the screen.

Huh.

What was so interesting with the show. They only showed a man with a small kid wearing ninja costume, running away. The man was actually a boy in Vernon's age, that surprised her. He wear red suit, dark colour top hat and have silver hair. What was so interesting about him again? Other than his age?

Matilda shot opened when she saw it. When the thief turned around, facing the camera that was recording, she saw something she never thought she will see ever again.

His eyes.

They shine so brightly.

Just like his.
