Part 13 : Zoo Visit With Morons

Joker could not believe what he just saw. He stared at it for a complete ten minutes before shook his head. He looked back and - saw the same thing. He take a deep breath and rubbing his eyes with his small side knuckles. He looked back and - saw the same thing again.

"You're not hallucinating we really are at a Zoo," Veronica piped out.

Taking a very deep and long breath, Joker walked toward the most nearest wall - which was a brick wall. Without a single hesitation or shame, he hit his head with repeat fast and strong phase. Veronica just smiled while inspecting the Zoo tickets in her hand. Two adults tickets only. She hide Joker and Hyakkimaru inside the top hat and when the security checking it, they do not find a single trace of the boys.

Guess Veronica is really a magician.

"Why is he banging his head?" Vernon asked, appearing beside his sister with the mini ninja on his shoulder.

"Probably too excited. You were just like that when papa brought us to the Zoo for the first time."

"Oh," Vernon sipping his drink.

"THAT'S NOT IT!!" the silver hair thief shouted, running toward the siblings "YOU SUPPOSE TO BRING ME TO SPAIN! WHY ARE AT A ZOO?!!"

The scientist sighed. She shoves the tickets into her skirt pocket before kneeling in front of the ragging boy. Placing hands on each his shoulders, with a stern eyes she gave him. Joker gulped his saliva, shocked to see the serious vibes from her. But what she says next was stupid.

"Because I want to see a Zebra."

Too stupid.

"Boy look! That monkey are waving at you! Wave back!" Veronica urged, forcing him to waved by grabbing his arm.

Joker stared at the monkey, who was actually giving him a pity look "Hi....," the small thief said, with some kind of tone that like being forced.

"I don't understand why are we here," the pro ninja, Hyakkimaru, said out loud his thought. He was hiding in Vernon's scarf that wrapped around his shoulders "Why are we here again?"

"Vee wants to see a Zebra. She likes Zebra," Vernon said monotone.

Hyakkimaru make an expression that everyone would make when they trapped with a bunch of idiots. I think you know that face. Yeah that face. He eyed the mad scientist who was busy admiring apes near the monkeys. Joker, who was sitting on her shoulders (because he was too short and kids intend to always easily lost) stared boredom with boredom eyes. The ninja kinda felt pity for him, and also himself. Joker was in a child form while he a mini human figure.

He regretted for smelling that damn potion-smell-like-chikuwas.

"Seriously? Why are we here?"

Vernon caught someone asking that. The voice sounds to be owned by a middle aged man. He looked around where he was standing, at the same time making sure his sister was nearby. His steel blue eyes caught two men (maybe in their thirties) standing close to one of the monkey cage. One of the men, suddenly looked at where Vernon was standing and caught stares with him.

Vernon knew they were not good people.

In an instant, the man informed his partner and they soon walked toward him. Hyakkimaru, who seems had seen what Vernon saw had a gut inside him whatever happens next won't be good. He saw the two men were walking toward them calmly. Calmly were what other people saw, but to Hyakkimaru (and Vernon) he could see the dark vibes flowing from them.

"Vernon they—"

"Yeah," he simply said. He bend down and picked two pebbles on the ground. Hyakkimaru eyed him curiously. The dark grey hair boy swiftly threw one of the pebbles toward one of the men. Those two didn't expect that, neither does the ninja.

'He threw it so fast, I almost didn't caught if I hadn't looked at his hand.'

One of the men, the guy who disguised with a green sweater, cursed loudly when the pebble hit his forehead. His partner looked over him, Vernon take that chance. He swiftly threw another pebble at his sister, who was looking around asking who the heck dared to cursed in a Zoo. The pebble hit her arm, which causing her to hissed and almost swear if she doesn't bit her lips. She glared at the direction where the pebble had thrown and saw her brother. She quickly knew he was the one who throw it. She wanted to scolded him, but when she saw him pointing at the two men, who was still cursing, she quickly understood his signal.

She smiled and raised both of her hands, held out two thumbs. Vernon nodded and started to walked away with fast phase. Veronica also walked away, but not following her brother.
Joker realised this.

"Hey stupid. Why aren't you go with your brother?" he asked, hitting her head with his fists. That didn't affect her.

"Somehow, the boss manage to caught us here."

The thief's eyes widened "Then why aren't you following Vernon? He can protect us!"

"Listen bud. I know it sounds dumb but it's the only way to escape their grasp. Her grasp."

"By separating?"

"Trust me, boy. Both of us know what we're doing," she said with a determined look. Joker stared at her face for awhile, before sighed and give up.

He knew from the start this siblings were crazy.

Sadly so does he.
