Spinel

Yeah I know nothing about the poison.

But I guess there was no way for them to have known that. But I don't understand why they didn't take action, I guess they really thought I would be able to help. Well, I'm definitely not as much help as they thought I would be.

"Um, no I don't." I say, trying to clear the silence in the air. "To be completely honest I didn't even know there was an injector in the bottom of the ship." They all look lost on the edge of brokenhearted-ness. I'm tempted to apologize, but I'm afraid if I start I won't be able to stop.

Oh yeah sorry I invaded your planet the first time. And the second time. Sorry that I have no information what so ever on what plagues both me and Steven. And your planet. And sorry about the trouble I caused just running out of the ship when ya'll just barged in. Sorry about the fact that I had to make Steven jump into the toxic waste to save me. And sorry that I don't know how to help him. Or me... I guess.

"We also haven't been able to contact the Diamonds."

Amethyst reminds everyone. Amidst my internal monologue of unspoken apologies, I had managed to forget to mention that. All because I had ran off. Thinking that I could get away from causing more issues for other people. But I guess my luck is bad luck.

"We need to go to Home world to make sure everything is okay."

Pearl brings up, her statement sounding more like an order. "Maybe they know about the injector in the ship?" Garnet suggests, top set of arms crossed. "I mean, it looked as if all of their communication is down, it could be possible that there is some complications over there." Pearl continues to press the idea for visiting Homeworld. The conversation seems to be going down the road that is for this.

And I don't think I agree with the idea.

I don't think that going to Homeworld has Steven's best interests in mind. I also don't know what they are expecting if they go over there. Do they think that when they talk to the Diamonds about the problem, they will just hand them the antidote? That's not going to happen.

"The Diamonds wouldn't have known about anything like this."

I say, basically thinking out loud. All of the crystal gems looked at me. And I can't decipher if their expressions are of suspicion or surprise. Before they could accuse me of withholding knowledge, I explain. "All this time the Diamonds have been trying their best to reduce violence, why would they have made injectors on the bottoms of ships?"

The information is brought with silence. "I think we should give your magic fountain a chance to try to help Steven." I say, finalizing my input. Everyone mulls the decision over. "But the injector was engaged from Homeworld, that could mean that there could be a coup going on." Pearl says, trying to inform all of us before a decision is made.

"Then why don't we split up?"
