CHAPTER TWELVE

"What about this kind of get-up?" Ochako asked as she showed Izuku a picture from the album MIna had provided them.

The omega scrunched up his nose in disapproval. "It's too... old-looking? I mean... Todoroki-kun likes traditional stuff but that's way too traditional for his taste,"

Ochako gave out a sigh before she went back to browsing. "Alright, what kind of theme do you want anyway? I mean... do you even have any preferences?"

"I-I can't really say," Izuku answered bashfully. "But that's why I borrowed these from Ashido-san, so I can at least have ideas of the themes and motif that I can like,"

"But if we have no preferences, it would take us a long time to find your ideal theme and motif," Tsuyu commented as she browsed over the pictures of cakes.

"What does Todoroki-kun say, anyway? What kind of theme does he like aside from traditional?" Ochako asked and Izuku averted his gaze from the beta.

"W-we... uh... we haven't talked much about the wedding," Izuku admitted.

"Really, Deku-kun?" Ochako said in exasperation.

"I-it's because he's been busy with work and the reports he makes, and... a-and I understand that he's busy, t-that's why I... called you two here to help me out,"

Tsuyu and Ochako looked at each other before Ochako sighed. "It's not that we don't appreciate you asking help from us, Deku-kun, but... planning your wedding is something that you should do with Todoroki-kun present and helping you out,"

"I-I know that..." Izuku admitted sadly. "But... it's just... he's been busy with his work and I can't bother him since he leaves early and comes home late and tired that I'd feel guilty if I let him stay up late just to plan our wedding,"

"But it's not just your wedding, right? It's yours and Todoroki-chan's," Tsuyu said.

"I'm home," Izuku announced as he arrived but no one came to welcome him which confused the omega since the security personnel guarding the condo building told him that Shoto came home not too long after him.

"Shoto-kun?" Izuku called as he slowly opened their bedroom door and saw Shoto having a conversation on the phone with what looks like a client.

Shoto saw him and gave him a small smile before he went back to answering to his client. "Yes sir, I understand," he said, turning his back on Izuku who frowned as he entered their room and hugged Shoto from behind-- taking the alpha by surprise.

"U-uh... yes, I understand," Shoto said as he slowly detached Izuku from himself-- making the omega frown even more.

Huffing, Izuku turned for the door and decided that preparing dinner was better than to wait for Shoto to finish what he was doing.

Izuku shook himself out of his own thoughts as he wore his apron and started preparing dinner for him and Shoto when he heard the soft click of the door and he turned to see Shoto walking towards him.

"You're home earlier than I expected," Shoto said, planting a kiss over Izuku's head.

"Yeah," Izuku answered with a smile. "You too. What happened? Your father ran out of things he needs you to do?"

Shoto chuckled. "Not really, I just timed out earlier," he said.

"Great!" Izuku said as he went down to get his phone and handed it to Shoto. "You can help me pick out some themes and motifs Uraraka-san and Asui-san helped me pick out earlier, we'll also going to need to pick out what kind of flowers and visit some tailoring shops for our suits too,"
