She wiped the corner of her mouth, perfecting her fiery red lipstick. Then brushed down her clothes. She was wearing white pants and a red top to match her lips, red heels also and a white coat. Her outfits were always so coordinated. She pulled out a perfume and sprayed it on her neck, wrists and body. It was scandal wood and vanilla. She walked out of the bathroom and straight into the office. The Shelby's office. She walked slowly, letting her fingers trail across the table as one of the men pulled out a chair for her.
"I'm Steph Vanslow." She said sticking out her hand for the one behind the desk to shake. He didn't shake it, instead he pulled out a cigarette and nodded his head to the places the other man to stand, and then sat. Steph sat down too, retracting her arm.
"I know who you are." The man behind the desk said taking in a drag of his cigarette. "I'm Thomas Shelby." he said taking in the woman's full appearance. She had dark brown hair which framed her face, a strong bone structure which was so delicate at the same time. She had such an ethereal beauty.
"Wonderful to make your acquaintance, Thomas." She said with her eyes dead on his. They were soft but were not moving for anything. "I thought I'd meet you alone." she tilted her head towards the back of the room at the other man - indicating to him.
"My cousin. Micheal." Tommy said bluntly. He sat down behind his desk.
Steph turned her head slowly to Micheal, nodding at him with a small smirk on her face. "You forgave him then?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow. A mischievous look grew on her face. He looked confused. "After what he did to you, and the rest of your family. Everyone else hasn't." She said nonchalantly.
Micheal stood there slightly flustered. "Yeah I err-" his eyes searched the room. "He's- hes errr my cousin. Family" he said looking at Tommy in desperation.
A devious smirk grew on Steph's face. "Your mother didn't forgive him. She's his family. Your other cousins didn't. They are his family." She countered.
Tommy soon interrupted. "If you aren't here to talk business then leave." He said sternly, trying to help Micheal out. Steph turned back around.
"Alright I'll be blunt then." She said, turning back towards Tommy. She took a cigarette and lighter from his desk without permission and lit it up, pocketing them both afterwards. "Do you know what a black hand is?" She asked giving Tommy a narrow stare. He nodded cautiously. "You and the rest of your family will be receiving one on Christmas Eve from Luca Changretta for the killings of Angel and Vicente Changretta." She explained to him, taking a smoke of the cigarette.
Tommy looked at her confused, but soon his emotion became blank. "Why are you telling me this? If it's even true." He asked, eyes moving towards Micheal for a brief second before landing harshly back on her.
"I can help you." She blinked at him, matching his blank expression.
He looked at her for a moment, going to talk multiple times before stopping himself. Finally he spoke. "And how would you know this?"
She laughed at him. "I know everything, Mr Shelby." She said patronisingly.
He raised his eyebrows. "And what can you do to help me?" He scoffed despite the fact he was fully intrigued by this mystery woman with such knowledge. He thought the best approach was going bluntly to try and not fall under the notorious spell he had heard about.
"I'm always 5 steps ahead, you see? I know things before the person knows themselves. If you don't want that then maybe Luca does eh?" She smirked at him.
Fire lit behind his eyes. "How do I know I can trust you." He spat frustratedly, which was the wrong move really considering how much she knew.
Steph scoffed again. "I should be asking that question really shouldn't I? Because you are the exact man which betrayed Sabini. And wasn't it you which undermined the Russian royalty in order to get more money? And let's not forget you sent your family to the gallows." She narrowed her eyes at him and his face reddened.
He sighed and spun round in his chair to face the wall. "Fuck me." He muttered, turning back round after running his hands through his hair. He started fiddling with papers on his desk until he spoke. "What do you want? Money?" He asked.
Steph laughed. "Is that a joke?" She looked at him. He blinked his eyes shut, leaning back in his chair. It was around 45 seconds before he jumped up.
"Okay if I receive the black hand I'll work with you. I'll get my lawyer to-"
Steph put her hand up and stopped him. Tommy was in awe on how this woman had such a hold on him after just 10 minutes. "We don't need that Mr Shelby." She said standing up. "When you receive the black hand, I'll be in touch." And with that she left in a flourish out the door.
Steph was proud of herself. She successfully flustered everyone in the room and managed to get a deal with Thomas Shelby - exactly what she had been sent to do.
Micheal walked over to Tommy and sat in the chair opposite. They both sat there, mouths agape, with a slight tug pulling at each of their lips. Proudness? Shockedness? They couldn't put their finger on it. "She's a devil." Micheal breathed out. "She's the literal devil." Air exhaled from his nose as he shook his head.
"Fucking tell me about it."
A/n I'll be posting this but since I have pre written chapters. Sorry to put Feel something on hold just temporarily xx
