The New Alpha

Chapter 15

Hey guys!  Happy New Year!

''Ruby!  Your brother is not a chew toy.  Scorch, get down from that ledge!  Dipper!  My tail is also not a chew toy!''  Ruby was chewing on her brother, Leo, Scorch was messing aound on a ledge in the cave, Dipper was chewing on the automatic tail Hiccup made me, and Orion and Kawaii were knawing on my wings.  Sigh, do pups ever rest?  The only pup who was behaving was Hiccup.  He was sleeping, snuggled into my belly.  I smiled down at him.  The pups were only a day old and they were driving me insane.  Luckily, Toothless will be here tonight to help out.

I somehow mangaed to get the pups to sleep and did the same.  But I was awoken a few hours later, hearing a large body hit the floor of the cave.  I stretched and saw the figure of a Nigt Fury. 

''Toothless?  You're here early.''  I said quietly, trying to not wake the pups. 

The Night Fury laughed.  ''I am not a Toothless, whatever that is.''

I took a step back and the dragon took one forward.  He stepped into the light and I growled.

''Dont you recognize me, my dear.'  I studied him for a few minutes.

''Fern?''  I suddenly recognized him.  I knew it was him because of his stunning green eyes.  He also had a dark green tint to his spine.  Otherwise, he was a jet black.  Their was one thing I left out when I told Toothless about my past: Fern.  He was my first love, well, my only love since I was only a year old when I was taken.  I ran to him and hugged him.  He hugged back.  I have no idea how he survived, but I didn't care at this point.

''So,'' he began, ''how have you been?''  I shrugged.  I heard Ruby yawn and Fern whipped his head up.  I looked in his eyes and saw hatred.

''Fern, whats wrong?'' 

''You have pups?'' I nodded, unsure of where this was going.  He growled.  ''With who?''

''My-my mate, Toothless.''

He looked at me and hit my face with his paw so hard I fell to the ground.  I felt trickles of blood run down my cheek.  I got back up and saw the pups cornered by Fern he was growling and preparing to pounce. 

I felt my body burn like it did when I challenged the alpha and jumped on Fern's back.  He turned over so he was on top of me, causing me to hit my head in the process.  He scratched and bit me all over before he turned back to the pups.  I blacked out.
