Chapter 24

"His parents are dead long ago Baek"

Baekhyun gave him a disbelieving look.

"What are you saying yixing? I saw him talking with his parents yesterday"

Yixing gave him a sad look,
"It's all a lie Baekhyun. He is living with this lie for many years"

"You mean..his parents are no more?
Then who is talking with him as his parents?"

Baekhyun is confused. Why would someone have to pretend to be his parents. Why is chanyeol is unaware of his parents demise.

"When chanyeol was 12 years old, his parents died before his eyes. His greedy uncle shot his father and mother before seriously injuring him. But thankfully chanyeol survived"

Baekhyun looked shocked.
"He saw his parents die before his eyes, but why he is unaware of his parents death?"

"After that incident, we took him to the hospital. They real problem started after that. 3 days later chanyeol woke up. He looked like he is perfectly fine but the tragedy was he acted like the incident didn't happen"

"His brain refused to believe, his parents died before his eyes. He believed his parents are still alive.
When we tried to tell him, he will become violent. He became insane.
To make him stable, we have to hire people to pretend like his parents."

By the end of it Baekhyun was crying.
He can't believe such tragic things happened to chanyeol.

"He is affected psychologically by that incident. His mind is not stable.
For everyone Mr and Mrs park are dead. But for chanyeol they still exists in the world."

"Yixing chanyeol is grown up now.
We can make him understand. We can cure him"

"How do you think chanyeol will take this" yixing asked him.

"Do you think chanyeol will be alright, if we let him know the truth. He would be devastated knowing his parents are dead and his life is a lie"

"And i don't want to take his happiness away from him. Deep inside his heart, he knows his parents died. But he refused believe this.
If the lie makes him happy, let him be"

Baekhyun placed his hand on yixing's shoulder, when he began to cry.
Suddenly yixing grabbed both of his hand and gave him pleading look.

"Please Baekhyun. Chanyeol is a nice guy. He found happiness in you. Please don't leave him. Atleast give him a chance to prove his love"

Baekhyun looked pained. He wants to say that he will stay with him, but his heart is conflicted by many things.

If he agreed to stay with chanyeol, what will become of him. Can he live with a possessive man like chanyeol.

What about his life, his freedom,
His parents. 'My parents?'

"Yixing i will give him a chance"

Yixing looked at him with wide eyes.
"Really baek? You will love him?
You will stay with him?"

"It's not like that. I don't know if i could love him or anything. But i will give him a chance"

Yixing looked disappointed but put happy smile on his face
"It's alright baek. That's enough too"

"But one condition!"

"What is that baek?" Confused yixing asked.

"Today at dinner, i will ask chanyeol to let me see my parents. If he allowed me to meet them, i will surely give him a chance"

Yixing only gave him a silent stare.
Chanyeol would never let Baekhyun leave from this island.

As if reading his mind, Baekhyun stood up " then sorry yixing"

"Wait baek" he was about to leave when yixing stopped him.

"I agree"

Yixing don't know why he agreed, but it's better to hold onto something than holding nothing.

"And yixing, you shouldn't interfere.
You will not reveal this agreement to chanyeol"

Yixing only nodded at him.
He is not sure if chanyeol would agree to this. But all he can do is hope
' please chanyeol '

At dinner

Everything is silent at dinner. Chanyeol is eating silently. Baekhyun and yixing is sharing eye contact with eachother. That's didn't go unnoticed by chanyeol.

Baekhyun is unusually nervous. And yixing looked like he want to say something to chanyeol.

"Is everything alright hyung"

Hearing chanyeol's voice, Baekhyun got surprised and began to cough.
Immediately chanyeol went to him and rubbed his back.

"Easy there hyung.. here drink some water.."

After Baekhyun calmed down he looked at chanyeol nervously. He wanted to ask chanyeol to take him to his parents, but he is scared.

What if chanyeol reacted badly and hurted him.

"I can say, you want to ask me something hyung. Come on ask whatever you want"

Baekhyun swallowed and looked at yixing, who motioned for him to ask
"Ch... chanyeol can i meet my parents.
I missed them"

Baekhyun got more scared when saw chanyeol glaring at him.
' ofcourse he never change '

Yixing picked up the dark aura surrounding chanyeol and mentally prayed ' chanyeol don't screw this up '

"Are you trying to leave me hyung"
Chanyeol screamed at him.

Baekhyun flinched when chanyeol slammed his hand on dinner table, breaking the plates.

"No..channie. ofcourse not. I just want to meet them. That's all. Please."

Chanyeol looked at him without any emotions. It's hard to figure out, what he is thinking.

Yixing and Baekhyun looked at him with hopeful eyes, waiting for good answer from him.
