The guardian

Chapter 16

Pha's pov:

I was on my way  to the terrace when i heard a huge thud.

I immediately rushed there and what i saw left me flabbergasted.

One of our packmates, uncle Rit was lying on the ground face first. The wall was cracked as if he was thrown against it hard.

I looked at Forth who had a kind of guilty expression on his face.

"Forth? What happened?" I asked.

"Well i forgot about my strength and used too much." he scratched his head.

Just then dad came running.

"What in the world?! Forth? Did you do this?" He looked at him.

He nodded.

"Why did you attack a fellow packmate?" he asked.

"He tried to attack me first. I just defended myself. I might have used too much strength though." He pointed at uncle Rit.

I frowned.

Why would he attack Forth? Zen was also confused.

I could tell by looking at Forth that he was telling the truth. There was no change in his heartbeat.

Dad had an equally confused expression on his face.

Just then i noticed uncle Rit getting up.

Wait what? He's already up? Forth used a lot of strength to throw him. Even the wall is cracked. How is he up already? Zen asked.

I suddenly had a really bad feeling. I grabbed dad's arm and pulled him back.

Forth's pov:

He's already awake? Something's off about this guy. He's not a normal werewolf. Kai said alarmed.

Do you think he could be a demon?

No i don't think he's a demon. Demons can't completely disguise their smell. I would be able to tell if he's a demon. He said.

But there's a lingering scent of one on him though.

I tilted my head and frowned.

He slowly stood up and looked at me.

The white of his eyes were now blood red and his pupils were jet black.

So that's what's going on! He's possessed by a demon! Kai yelled.

I immediately put up shields around pha and dad just in case.

"Forth what-" Dad asked.

"He's possessed by a demon." I didn't take my eyes off him.

I could tell pha and dad were shocked.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Cain." He smirked.

Shit! He's one of the strongest demons in hell! Forth we can't fight him here! This whole place will be destroyed! Take him and let's go somewhere else and settle this! Kai screamed.

I looked at pha and dad.

" I'm going to take care of this so rest assured. I'll be back. Wait for me ok?" I smiled.

They frowned. Before they could say anything, i cast a spell and covered me and Cain with mana.

I used apportion and brought us to a deserted island nearby.
