2//Unpacking

Eliza walked inside.

"There's a meeting with Laf, Herc, Laurens, Peggy, Alex, Burr only because Alex insisted, you, and me in an hour. Get set up, okay?" Angelica closed the door.

Eliza looked around. It was nice, she guessed. There was a little sitting area that you walked into with a couch and old TV. Then there was a hallway with two bedrooms, one on the left and one on the right, and then there was a small bathroom with two sinks and a toilet and a shower.

Eliza picked the room on the left. It had a bed on the right side against the wall, a desk on the left side that you could fold into the wall, and a closet. Not much else.

Eliza put baby blue sheets on the bed with a comforter and a few pillows. She unpacked her laptop, plugged it in, and set it on the desk with three or four little decorations. She unpacked all her clothes and hung them up in the closet or folded them and put them in a cubicle. She put up a Dear Evan Hansen poster, set her toiletries in the bathroom, added a few decorative pillows to the ugly couch, and she was done.

Eliza checked her phone. Thirty minutes had gone by.

She changed from her fancy blouse and skinny jeans to jean shorts and a blue T-shirt. Her friends didn't care how she looked.

Eliza sighed. It was going to be lonely in her dorm. Anybody she liked was already placed in another dorm and she didn't know anybody else.

Eliza whiled away the time on her phone until an hour had gone by. Then she texted:

middle: wheres the meeting

bigsis: courtyard A follow the signs

bigsis: and please help Laf won't stop speaking in French

bigsis: and only alex will understand him and refuses to translate

middle: coming

Eliza prepared herself for another meeting where Laurens and Peggy were sickeningly sweet to each other, Alex and Burr pretended to fight but ended up kissing, and Laf screamed in French until Hercules held his hand.
