"My god, I feel like I'm going to fall over," Eliza said, kicking off her shoes and dumping her books on the table.

"I need to go take a shower. Who knew we'd be going to the greenhouses on the FIRST DAMN DAY OF CLASSES?" Maria said.

"I'll grab some ramen or something," Eliza said.

"No, we're getting burgers."

"Maria-"

"Burgers."

"Fine."

*AFTER BURGERS CAUSE I'M PRAYING YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT BURGERS TASTE LIKE*

Eliza threw away their trash and they sat down at the table awkwardly.

"Maria, I think I need to talk to you about what happened last night, what I said-"

"I'm bi as f***," Maria said, then blushed.

Silence.

More silence.

"Uhhh..." Eliza said. "Like bi like...you'd date a girl."

"Yeah."

"A girl like me."

"Are you..."

"Am I..."

"Asking me out?" Maria said.

"Asking you out?" Eliza said at the same time.

"Yes," they both said.

"Oh," they both said.

"Oh," they both said again.

"So are we..." Maria trailed off.

"Girlfriends? If...if you want to be," Eliza said, tucking some hair behind her ear.

"Y-yeah. I do."

"Oh."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"I should go to bed."

"Yeah, me too."

Both of them ignored the fact that it was only 8:00.
