The next few days were awkward, to say the least. Even though Maria and Eliza were officially dating, they didn't talk much, and while Eliza got up early, Maria always slept in, so they didn't even eat breakfast or go to classes together.

Angelica wasn't speaking to Eliza, but everybody else was fine with it, and Eliza was glad.

A few days after Maria and Eliza had begun dating, Peggy texted everyone.

myshot: ur my boyfriend and u don't have a choice

baguette: lies

mylittlepony: saying that's a lie is a lie

andpeggy: you're all coming

angelicAAA: I'm not

eLIZa: if she comes I'm not coming

andpeggy: come on guys get over this already

eLIZa has added ladybug to the chat

ladybug: welp this is awkward

angelicAAA has left the chat

andpeggy: fine. So herc laf alex burr eliza maria and me?

myshot: sounds about right

mylittlepony: SOMEONE PLEASE CHANGE MY USERNAME BACK

andpeggy, myshot, saltyaf, eLIZa, baguette, and ladybug have left the chat.

mylittlepony: dammit

Maria was laughing so hard at her phone tears were running out of her eyes. Eliza looked over at her through their open bedroom doors, smiling. Maria looked back and smiled.

Within ten seconds they were in Eliza's bed, cuddling.

"I'm sorry this has been so awkward," Eliza whispered. "I just-I didn't know what to do."

"You've never dated anyone before, right?" Maria asked.

"No," Eliza admitted.

"Let me teach you."

"Okay, sure."

"Well, first, when you're dating anyone, you do this." Maria pressed her lips to Eliza's, and neither of them pulled away for a long, long time.
