Pratap shuddered for a moment wondering why the woman had collapsed by just looking at him. To his rage, Indrajit began hurling abuses at Pratap for making his mother faint.

"Shut up you oaf!" Snapped Siddharth before Pratap could say anything. "Pratap has been standing here beside me since the time he's come. Instead of abusing, get your mother admitted."

"Don't you advise me what to do

"Don't you advise me what to do." Warned Indrajit pointing a finger at Siddharth.

Pratap rolled his eyes at the onset of another melodrama. He couldn't believe that the entire family was so overtly dramatic in their sorrow, love and hate for each other.

Meenakshi was rushed into a private ward immediately. Her three sons stood outside with hung heads as dismay loomed over them. Vinayak had lost his position and now their mother was ill.

"Why did she collapse looking at you?" asked Tejaswini softly.

Pratap shrugged not having an answer to the question. It did bother him for a moment but he didn't really want to partake in the nonsense.

"Let's meet Shiv," he said and walked out of the lobby.

Shivendra beamed at his friends as they entered the ward once his parents had left.

"What was the intensity of the drama and hysteria that I created?" winked Shivendra with a dark grin crossing his lips.

Pratap and Siddharth looked at each other for a moment

Pratap and Siddharth looked at each other for a moment. The brief confused look on their faces made Shivendra chuckle a little.

"I...don't think you should have attempted a suicide to attain the position." Said Pratap firmly.

Shivendra grinned for a moment and whispered, "Come closer,"

Pratap and Siddharth stooped closer to Shivendra who was propped up against some cushions. He looked around to make sure they weren't watched.

"I didn't consume the rat poison," he whispered.

Pratap and Siddharth looked at each other unperturbed by their friends words. They knew their friend too well, he wouldn't try to kill himself for a damned position.
