The game of chess is like a reality check. You never know who strikes and when they strike. Either you die, or you win!
Life, as harsh as it may sound is the same battle.
Neither is anything wrong nor is anything absolutely right.
CHECKMATE, is t...
Pratap sat in the mandap and looked around. He shook his head seeing the media and looked back at the fire as the pundit did the pujas.
Who is this match maker who did this for me? Why did he do this? What would he gain? Did Anjali's abductor want us to get married? Or...was his intention something else? Thought Pratap who was just unable to concentrate.
"Vadhu ko bulaye...." chanted the pundit.
Anjali entered the mandap in traditional Rajasthani bridal attire. Her heavy lehenga teamed with jadau gold jewelry made her look no less than a royal.

Pratap glanced at his bride from the corner of his eyes and smiled to himself. Although he was annoyed about how this marriage came into action, his heart was busy doing summersaults.
Anjali sat beside him, to his left and the mantras began once more. She looked at him from the coroner of her eyes and found his face stern and expressionless.
Is he still angry? She thought. Does he believe that all this is my fault?
Leaning closer to him she said, "You can still break this wedding off and go. I'll deal with things here."
Pratap pursed his lips stifling a chuckle and teased, "Are you sure you don't want to run away? Because....you are marrying Pratap Sisodya...who...isn't easy to live with."
Anjali scowled a little and muttered, "I...I...love you."
"Tch...tch..." teased Pratap once more, "I thought you had poor choices like Indrajeet in life."
"Pratap....do you still think whatever happened is my fault?" She asked with a soft sigh.
"Hmm....of course why not!" He replied and continued looking at the fire. Scaring you is fun! Anjali Shekhawat...oops...Mrs. Anjali Pratap Sisodya.
The gatbandhan was tied and the two stood up for the pheras. He stood up and asked her once more, "You sure you want to do this?"
"Tell me if you are sure first." She retorted.
He simply held her hand and began walking ahead. Siddharth and Shivendra along with the rest of the guests were showering the couple with rice and flowers.
"Hey Shiv," nudged Siddharth making him frown at him. Pointing to a drunk man he asked, "Isn't that Indrajeet?"
"Oh shit!" Exclaimed Shivendra immediately. "Before he gate crashes and makes a scene...we need to stop him!"
Siddharth and Shivendra immediately slipped away from the crowd who were busy watching the pheras and dashed towards a drunk Indrajeet who had just entered the wedding venue.
"HEY...YOU..." Slurred Indrajeet but immediately Siddharth clamped his mouth shut and looked at Shivendra growling, "Where the hell do we take him?"
