Indrajit stood with his hands in his pocket at the arrival gate at Jaipur International Airport along with Chandraprakash Shekhawat who sipped at the tea from a clay cup.
A smile spread across Indrajit's lips when he saw his best friend and lady love walk towards her father and hug him tightly.
"Oh my baby girl had grown so big!" exclaimed Chandraprakash with tears in his eyes.
Anjali smiled with tears of joy in her eyes. She had missed her father's warm embrace, her mother's doting words and her sisters are constant chattering.
"Where's Janki?" she asked, her voice surging with excitement.
"She's in the college but it looks like you've forgotten me since the day you went to America!" Teased Indrajit with his arms wide open for an embrace.Anjali giggled coyly and hugged him tightly saying, "How could I forget my childhood buddy!"
They sat in her father's Lamborghini and left the airport. Chandraprakash sat ahead with the driver while Anjali and Indrajit sat at the rear.
"How's Meenu aunty?" asked Anjali with glittering eyes.
"She's great...but I don't really want to talk about my mom and my brothers right now." Grinned Indrajit. "I want to talk about you..."Anjali popped her brow and folding her arms across her chest she asked, "What about me?"
"First of, any boyfriend's?"The radiance on Anjali's face quickly faded into scorn which made her turn her face towards the window. She reminisced the small moments with Pratap and how he had rudely shrugged her off. A heavy rock of anger and love sat on her heart making it difficult for her to breathe.
"So you had one?" asked her father quietly looked behind at his daughter as he was eavesdropping on their conversation.
"No," she replied shaking her head in denial. "Too busy to have one."Indrajit felt a wash of comfort sweep over him. He was glad that Anjali was still single, now was the only chance he had to get back with her. He had never wanted her to go to the US in the first place, in fear of losing her. But he just couldn't have a say and eventually they parted ways.
"Well Anjali," smiled Indrajit, "you look much more beautiful than when you were a teen."
Anjali smiled saying, "Thanks, I... I'm exhausted...I'll sleep for a while."
Indrajit frowned as he watched her close her eyes behind her nurdish glasses. Anjali though exhausted never could sleep when with her close ones. She would love to talk, sing and even dance like a fool. But, something was amiss the the once lively girl.
I miss my Anjali, sighed Indrajit, who so ever did you wrong I shall make them pay.

"Remove my name then." Growled Kavish over the phone pacing his cabin up and down.
His morning wasn't as good as he wanted it to be at Rathore Enterprises. As soon as he had reached the office he had got a call from one of the goons Jadeja had hired to clear the Ganga Nagar colony.
