"TO WHOM!" exclaimed Anjali in horror.

"Indrajit," replied her mother, "Meenakshi and her son came for the proposal yesterday morning."

"And you said yes?" Asked Anjali gaping at her mother.

Immediately her mother nodded with a shrug saying, "As it is you'll are in love with each other why not get married soon."

"WHAT BULLSHIT!" She screamed and marched out of the house.

As soon as she opened the door, she found Pratap standing with his arms crossed around his chest and leaning against the car.

"Why are you here?" She asked with a straight face.

Pratap looked at his watch and then plastered a smile saying, "It's half past nine and we have to get the reports today. Do you... recollect anything?"

Anjali's eyes widened and immediately smacked her forehead. "I'm sorry, it literally escaped my mind. Wait. I'll...change...and be right back!"

"No, no need to hurry." Replied Pratap with the plastered smile still across his face. "Take all the time you need. The whole day if required!"

"You don't have to be so sarcastic." Snapped Anjali and walked back inside mumbling to herself. "First of all maa has gotten on my nerves and now this Mr. Khadoos....gosh what people I live with!" She groaned as she quickly dressed up and left.

Pratap was already in the car, tapping his finger over the drivers wheel and smiled seeing Anjali who looked extremely apologetic.

"I thought you'd take the whole day!" He teased as she sat down beside him

"I thought you'd take the whole day!" He teased as she sat down beside him.

Anjali narrowed her eyes at him thinking, I've heard enough of your sarcasm. Wait...now..."Wait one moment!"

"Now what did you forget?" He growled but she didn't respond.

Opening the door, she got off the car and went and sat on the back seat.

"Let's go!"

"Am I...your chauffeur?" He asked.

"Who asked you to be so sarcastic with me?" She plastered a smile over her face. "All that attitude works on others but not on me. Let's go driver!"

"Fine I apologize, sit ahead." He snapped.

"Tch...tch...you don't even know to apologize." Said Anjali shaking her head at him.

Pratap rolled his eyes. He knew he didn't have the luxury to pacify her and started the car and zoomed off straight to the forensic lab.

Together they sat and began running the DNA in the report through the DNA's of ex convicts.

"Umm... nothing!" Replied Anjali. "Looks like it's a wild goose chase!"

Pratap frowned and shut his eyes and shook his head saying, "Run it once more."
