"Nicely played, Man. I think you should be the one going after her." Minho shook his head, saving his document before closing his laptop. Groaning at the realization of how much I'm fucking the situation up again, I took the phone from the sofa and pushed it down my pocket.

Not sparing Minho a glance, I ran downstairs and outside the house to look for Y/N. Just then, I felt my phone continuously vibrate from my pocket. Fishing it out and quickly unlocking it to view the messages, I saw that it was from Dongmin.

Lee Dongmin: What happened?
Lee Dongmin: I was passing by and saw Y/N in front of the convenience store
Lee Dongmin: She doesn't seem okay

Cursing under my breath, I pushed the phone back down and ran towards the direction of the nearest convenience store and just as Dongmin mentioned, she was indeed a distraught but the sight of her crying in my Best friend's arms made me hesitant to approach them.

"Listen, Y/N... I know my Best friend, and I'm sure he meant the opposite of what he said." Dongmin stated, patting my hair down as he pulled me in his embrace. "But coming from him... I don't want to hear those from him..." I sobbed, shutting my eyes close.

"Only when loving does the mind and heart become one." Dongmin mumbled, gently pushing me away to look at my tear stained face. "You're the only girl he ever let himself close to after his Mother's death... I'm sure he's upset with himself right now, more than you are to him." Dongmin stated, wiping my tears with his thumbs.

"His Mother's death?" I questioned, looking at Dongmin in hopes of answers. "I'm not the right person to tell you the story but since it has already slipped out of my mouth, Bin has been living with a step-mom since he was five." Dongmin explained before standing up, also gently tugging me up in the process.

"I have someone waiting for me so I have to keep going. Talk it out with him, okay? On most times, our feelings affect our decision making..." Dongmin stated, giving my head a slight pat before walking away.

Watching him stop on his track as he reached an alleyway, he gestured for something to approach me and only when a pair of feet came to my vision did I notice that it was actually a someone and that someone is none other than Moon Bin.

"I'm sorry, Y/N." He apologized, rubbing his nape. "I don't know why, but I got upset and said things I shouldn't have when he said that he wanted his way with you." Moon Bin confessed, sitting in front of me.

"Were you really that oblivious?" I asked, throwing him a stern look as I crossed me hands against my chest. "Does that mean that you actually liked me?" He asked, furrowing his brows. "Does that mean you don't see me that way?" I asked back, staring him in the eyes.

"I know and I heard... You're the only one I could let my guard down... There's no reason for me not to like you. In fact, I've always liked you." He mumbled, looking down.

"As a friend, right?"

"No..."

"Since when?" I questioned, growing flustered with each passing minute.

"Since the second grade."

"But you left..."

"I left because my step-mom didn't fancy the thought of a seven-year-old boy getting distracted from his studies just because of a puppy love. I guess I blindly believed her words that you'd leave me in the end, just like how my Mother did."

"How can I leave? You were more than just a puppy love for me, Bin..."

"Then... Can we start over?"

A few months had gone by since Moon Bin and I started going out and so far, we've only gone through the trouble of convincing his parents to let him stay at the Yoons' and keep our relationship. The process wasn't easy but Moon Bin managed to prove that he can juggle between studies and a serious relationship by fulfilling his job as the freshmen representative of the Biology department well and for acing our exams.

However, lately, I have been feeling like there's a barrier between Moon Bin and I. He had been caught up in his thoughts to even hear me out when I'm asking him something.

"Moon Bin, is something wrong?"

"Mm? No." He shortly replied.

"Are you growing tired of me?"

"Nah."

"Then what are you thinking about?"

"It's nothing, don't worry." He smiled, pulling me into his embrace as we both looked out the huge window of my room.

"Don't you ever grow tired?" I asked, leaning my head on his chest.

"Of you? Nah." He shortly replied, tightening his arms around my frame before pressing a kiss on my cheek.

"Oh, come on!" I pouted, hoping for him to go in an in depth description of how he felt about our relationship.

"Nah." He stubbornly answered, turning me around before locking me in place with his arms tightly wrapped around my waist, his lips only a few centimeters away from mine.

"I'm thinking about how nice a lifetime with you would be though." He confessed, pressing his lips against mine, staying put for a short while before pulling away.

"Back when I heard from Dongmin that you left that school, I made a promise that I'd leave that horrid household and look for you so that I could hold you in my arms like this." He continued, pressing his lips on my forehead as he swayed our bodies a little.

"I also made a promise that you'd only be the only woman I'd love so that our children won't have to suffer through what I had to go through." He hummed, resting his head on top of mine.

"But what if I'm not the one for you?"

"Have you ever heard of the saying- Destined but not meant to be?" His uniquely calming voice asked as he carried me towards the sofa.

"Even if I was destined to be with someone else, I know that deep down, my heart only feels at home with you. You're the only one for me, Y/N."
