It was about 3 months after Mew told Saint and Zee that he had adopted them. After that, Mew, Gulf and the boys tried to live like a family the best as they could. The boys thrived in the new environment and Mew had even enrolled the Two-Terror in a private school near their home. Mew encouraged Gulf to learn to drive and he even personally taught his muse to drive. He wanted Gulf to be independent and become whatever he wished to be in the future. Mew had his own apprehension as Gulf might decide to study in the United States as he once told him. Nevertheless, Mew knew that in the end he would not want to clip Gulf's wings. The young man was destined for greatness because of his innate capability to learn new things. Gulf never ceased to amaze Mew with his knowledge of the world and his peculiar yet interesting perceptions of the things around him. His muse was like fresh air. Mew relished being around him.

Mew also had decided to work from home more now than working at the office. He actually enjoyed the domesticated life he had with his new small family. Waking up to the boisterous Two-Terror was something he looked forward too. Not forgetting of course, spending more time with his muse. His muse had grown attached to Mew's family library devouring one book at a time. Mew looked forward to buy new and obscure books to make Gulf happy. Mew also had bought Gulf a brand new cellphone and a tablet for him to use. Nevertheless, Mew noticed that the young man preferred to read books. He also had seen him smiling, touching and holding a book lovingly as if that book was the most precious thing to him. It was rare to find such a soul in this day and age, Mew thought. There were also a few times when Mew would find Gulf sleeping in the library when he could not find the young man in his room. Mew would also find Zee and Saint sleeping in the library waiting for Gulf but their brother was too engrossed with whatever he was reading that the two fell asleep  waiting for him.

That morning the house was quiet as the boys were at school and Mew's mother had gone for a week hiatus to her favourite spa in Japan. The maid had prepared their breakfast at the verandah on the second floor. Mew and Gulf were having breakfast at the verandah facing the vast garden behind the house. Mew noticed Gulf was acting a little strange for the past few days. That particular morning, the young man seemed to be more agitated than usual. Gulf would take a peak at Mew and he would have this serious look on his handsome face. Mew continued to eat his breakfast while reading the news trying to ignore the obviously distressed young man. Gulf would bit his lips and studied Mew. What was his beautiful muse thinking? Mew wondered. Gulf was drinking his usual hot chocolate drink when his eyes landed on Mew's. The young man quickly averted Mew's eyes. Mew did not like what just happened. Why was his muse THIS fidgety? Did he do anything wrong? Mew thought. Gulf did not even touch his favourite breakfast, which was scrambled eggs and croissant.

"Baby." Mew said and Gulf froze up.
"Are you okay?" Mew asked.
"No." Gulf whispered and shook his head.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm not ready to tell you." Gulf's shoulders slumped.
"Okay... You know I will try my best to understand you... right?" Mew coaxed and Gulf nodded.
"Please eat Baby." Mew said and Gulf stared down at his plate.
"It's cold now." Mew smiled and Gulf nodded with a seriousness that perplexed Mew.
"Do you want Mrs Sitwat to make you a new one?" Mew suggested.
"No. Thank you." Gulf answered and began eating his breakfast slowly.
"Gulf... I have mentioned this before and I will tell you again... I love you... yes..." Mew smiled.
"But... whatever decisions you make in your life... I will accept it." Mew explained.
"I remember what you have told me Mew... I understand." Gulf said.
"Could you give me time... to tell you what's on my mind?" Gulf continued and Mew nodded.

They continued to eat breakfast in silence. The ever serious and contemplative Gulf continued to baffle Mew. He did not remember saying or doing anything that could trigger such consternation in the young man. The only thing that Mew could think of would be talking about which university that Gulf would be interested to attend since he had completed high school. With his brilliant national exam results and his flawless high school academic records, Gulf would be able to study anywhere in the world if he wanted to. Mew's muse was contemplating doing a double degree. He was interested to do a degree in French Language to Mew's surprise and a degree in biochemical engineering. Gulf had even begun taking online French Language classes on his own. Talking about being hyper intelligent! Mew was so proud of his muse.
