This Game Called Love

Chapter 8

This moment is so perfect only to be ruined by my brother's nonstop calls. I have to excuse myself for a moment before answering it. Good thing there's a vacant sun lounger so I just seated there.

"Ano? Bakit ka ba tawag nang tawag?"

"Bakit ngayon mo lang sinagot anong ginagawa n'yo d'yan?" he accused me but in a teasing way.

Buti na lang lumayo muna ako kay Lucas bago ko sagutin ang tawag. Knowing Kuya, he can be annoying, overprotective, or overacting all at the same time. Just like this, I don't know if he's just protective or he easily assume things.

"Wala naman kaming ginagawa. In fact, we're just waiting for you. Nasaan na ba kayo?" I firedback.

"Don't you dare do something silly behind my back, Harper Illyria." He's still making fun of me.

"Kuya, seriously? Wala nga. Napaka-issue mo. Nasaan na ba kayo?" I'm starting to get pissed.

He keeps on laughing at me instead of answering my question. Epal talaga ng taon!

"If you keep on doing that, gagawin ko na lang talaga. Kung sagutin mo na lang kasi ang tanong ko edi okay lahat."

"Just wait for us. Nagpapa-reserve lang kami dito sa restaurant sa resort." he finally answered my question.

In the end, only me and Lucas waited for the sun to set. There's something special about sunset that makes me reflect and wonder. It gives me healing and comfort that whether it's a good or bad day we all deserve to breathe, relax, and contemplate even just for a while. This is the second time that I'm witnessing it with Lucas and it feels so special.

After that, we went to a buffet restaurant in the resort. Kuya and Louise are already in our reserved table overlooking the beautiful view of the beach.

Louise wants to go clubbing but since Kuya has a scheduled hearing tomorrow we decided to go home early. For sure, club din naman ang pupuntahan namin kapag nakipag-meet ako sa barkada ko nung highschool. Nevertheless, our first day here in Cebu was fun!

Louise and I are in the same room and we still have a lot of energy left so we just come up with our itinerary.Most of the places that we include are for water activities. Nakalimutan ko na sobrang adventurous nitong mga kasama ko. Ako lang ata ang parang ewan na kinakatakutan lahat. I have no choice but to agree with all their requests. Let's be nice to the tourists.

We went to Kawasan falls early in the morning. Good thing, we have a lot of cars in the house that we can use. We just informed Manang to contact a driver for us.

Pagkadating namin sa registration area pa lang ang dami na agad tao kahit ang aga na namin dun. But what do I expect? I almost forgot that it's a holiday and people will surely go for a vacation. We wear our life vests and helmets for safety purposes. We take a short hike together with our guide for us to reach the falls. The wonderful view of the Kawasan falls and lots of bamboo trees welcome us. And the adventurous twins started their water activities. I just let them enjoy canyoneering while I cheer for them and taking a video in my GoPro. I witness how other people skillfully jump and dive while some are screaming for their lives. For their "warm up", they do the 10 ft height jump.

Grabe sisiw lang sa kanila 'yun! E, parang sobrang taas na nga nun! Hindi ko kinakaya ang trip ng magkapatid na 'to. I can't even imagine myself standing near the cliff. Tumalon pa kaya?

I would definitely pass out!

"Go, mga LODI!" I cheered with all my might.

Ito lang naman ang role ko in life.

Niyayaya pa nga nila ako pero hindi talaga nila ako mapipilit. Puputi muna ang buhok nila bago nila ako mapapayag. Nag e-enjoy naman ako dito na mag-swimming.
