Chapter Seven: Potential Competitor

It's Monday and now they are back to work. Last week was a lot eventful for the triplets, Tres and Wreya. Two days lang sana ang leave na sinabi ni Tres kay Kathy but then he was too fond of the kids he wasn't able to go back to work then. In addition, they have to transfer to his penthouse and that requires not too much work since almost everything is already in the penthouse. Nag-grocery nga lang sila kahapon.

"Finally! You showed up, my dear cousin." Salubong sa kanya ni Vinci. Nakabuka pa ang mga palad nito para yakapin siya. Iniwas nga lang niya ang sarili dito at dumiretso sa swivel chair niya. "Wow. Wala man lang bang thank you diyan? Kapag bumagsak ang kompanya ko dahil nawala ako ng ilang araw. Ikaw ang sisisihin ko."

"Whatever Vinci. I needed the break anyway. I will just give you my salary if that'll make you feel better." Ignora niya sa sarcasm nito.

Vinci scoffed at his cousin's lack of demeanor.

"Forget it." Naupo siya sa sofa na naroon sa opisina at nagsalin ng alak. "Maybe if you tell me what did you do during your leave, it might make me feel better."

"Hindi mo naman sinabi gusto mo lang palang makasagap ng chismis." Tres smirked.

Vinci rolled his eyes at Tres. "Come on. You might've found something that makes you leave your company for a couple of days. And you never as in never leave your company for something that is not work related." Seryosong sabi ni Vinci habang sinasalinan siya ng alak.

"You know me that much huh. I'm not supposed to talk about it to anyone yet. But I think, there's no need hiding it." He drank his shot straight down.

"Now you're talking."

He sighed heavily. "I just found out that I've been living in hell for a very long time." And he just realized it now. All he did was study hard, work hard, be a good son and a businessman at the same time.

"Oh really. Ngayon mo lang nalaman?" Vinci teased.

"Seriously, yes. Not until last week. I felt like I've been relieve from the cold emotion I've possesses all these years."

"So you get laid." Vinci assumed. Masamang tinitigan siya ni Tres.

"No? Okay, can we talk about it without the riddles? Man, you're messing with my brain cells." Reklamo ni Vinci.

Nagsalin si Tres ng alak. "Well, to summarize it all...I found out I'm  already a father." He blurted out. Vinci on the other hand was choked while sipping his own drink. Nanlalaki ang mga mata na bumaling siya kay Tres.

"So what Kathy said was true? I have a niece?"

"Seems like Kathy didn't tell you clearly. " He leaned and grinned like a proud man would. "A niece and two nephew to be exact."

"Wait. You got someone pregnant with triplets?!" Bulalas ni Vinci. Sabay nun ang sunod-sunod na katok sa pintuan at pagpasok ni Wreya.

"Sir, Mr. Salvador se---" Natigil ito sa kung anumang sasabihin nang makita si Vinci. And Vinci looked at her for a brief second before looking at Tres again, bewildered.

"Calm down Vinci. Ikaw palang ang nakakaalam from our family. I hope you could keep it a secret for now."

Tapos tumingin si Tres kay Wreya bago kay Vinci.
