This first paragraph is a bit gross, just a quick warning for y'all
You wake up at still dark o'clock, your head pounding and your stomach doing somersaults. Clenching it, you stand up, stumbling out of the room in search of a bathroom. "Wh-Where am I.." you mumble, your voice coming out raspy. And that is when the bile starts to rise your throat, you start gagging, finally finding the bathroom. Rushing to the toilet, you lean over it, throwing up your whole stomach. Oh, how you hated throwing up, the taste that would linger in your mouth after, and how gross you'd feel from it. Everything about the experience was unpleasant. You gag again, once again spewing into the bowl. You tighten your grip on the toilet as you go for another round. That's when someone walks into the room, kneeling next to you. Out of the corner of your eye, you see red wings. You have no time to react before spewing into the bowl once again. At this point, tears were starting to form in your eyes from all of the throwing up. Hawks grabs your hair, holding it back. With his other hand, he rubs your back, going in circular motions.
After a few minutes, you stay leaning over the bowl, panting and trying to catch up on your breathing. Your stomach had started to calm down, but your head still felt like it had been hit by a bat. And your throat and chest were burning. Once you knew you were clear to sit up, you do so, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand. You look over to see Hawks next to you. "Wh-What the fuck...?" you question, your head tilting to the side ever so slightly. "Hey... you're kinda cute..." You say, leaning close to Hawks. You were too tired to be able to fully assess the situation or really get a handle as to who was next to you. Sighing, Hawks grabs a damp towel from the sink, wiping off your mouth, then hands. "I wish I knew that you were this much of a lightweight." Hawks says, washing his own hands. "What do you mean...? I don't drink?" You say, watching as Hawks leans back down. "Well, that explains it." He chuckles, running a hand through his hair. He looks at you, almost as if he were scanning to see if you were completely sober. "Come on, (Y/N), let's get you back to bed."
You wake up again, this time when the sun is out. You groan as all numbness leaves your body and you feel pain all over. "Ouch... The hell?" You say, sitting up. You look around. "Where am I?" You ask. That's when you feel a sharp pain in your stomach. Letting out a pained groan, you clench your stomach. "Mornin, sleepy bird." You hear to your right. Looking over, you see Hawks with a glass of water and a bowl. Your reaction is slow, but once you realize what was going on, your face goes red and your eyes widen. You tense up as Hawks gives you the water, which you take with a shaky hand. "You were pretty wasted last night. I wish I'd known you didn't drink before you agreed to go to a bar with me." He says, sitting on the edge of the bed. "A-A bar?" You question your memory from early on into the night before coming back to you. "O-Oh shit! Please tell me I didn't do anything stupid last night!" You say in a panicked tone. "Oh no... You only admitted that you thought I was cute." He says, winking. "Normally, drunk girls don't give me ego boosts like that, but you did." He says, puffing out his chest and fluffing his wings out. You shrink back, trying to hide your embarrassed face. "It's fine, (Y/N), I was caught a bit off guard by all of that at first, but it was kinda funny seeing you like that." Hawks smiles at you. That smile... That beautiful smile.
"Take those pills, they'll help with your hangover. Which I can tell is hitting you pretty hard right now." Hawks says, motioning to the bowl. "Also, there are some clean clothes in here for you to wear. Yours are kinda sweaty and have a bit of throw up on them, so I'll wash 'em after you change." He says, standing up. "Come out when you're ready, I'm gonna make some food." He leaves the room, leaving you alone. Well, shit. Ok, so you basically told Hawks your thoughts on him, and he helped you while you spewed your guts out. Awkward. You take the pills given to you, swallowing them with water. Then, you change into the clothes given to you. It's nothing fancy. Just a band tee that was a bit too big on you and some sweats whose legs went over your feet. You fold your old clothes, leaving them on a chair in the corner. Tying your hair back, you leave the room.
There he stood, his back to you as he is focused on the food that was simmering on the stove. The kitchen smells of eggs, which had your senses going wild. You sit down at the counter, crossing your feet as you watch the man. Now and again, you'd notice his wings flutter and fluff out. You can't help but wonder how amazing it must be to have wings. Hawks turns around, putting a plate of food in front of you. He leans against the counter behind him, folding his arms. "It's rude to stare, y'know." He says, smirking a bit. This causes your cheeks to go pink. "S-Sorry!" You say, shoveling food into your mouth. He chuckles, shaking his head. "Do you want a better look at them?" He asks. You freeze looking up at him. "My wings. You want a better look?" He asks. You nod, swallowing the food that was still in your mouth and walking over to the man.
Hawks unfolds one wing, grabbing your hand and pulling you so that you're against him so that he can better guide you around his wing. He guides your hand to the part that is most connected to his back. "Here's the scapulars." He says, before moving your hand along the base of the wing. "These really short feathers are a part of the Marginal Coverts. They are also my softest feathers." He says before continuing to guide your hand about his wings, explaining each part and what they were. You just watch in awe, staring at your hand as it travels around Hawks' wing. "And that's all there is to 'em. Without going into a ton of detail about my quirk, of course." You just nod, drawing your hand back. It wasn't til now that you had realized something very important. Hawks was shirtless. You back up, off his chest immediately as you realize that, averting your eyes to the floor. "You're so silly, (Y/N)." Hawks chuckles, walking to the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water from it. Which, of course, he hands to you. "You need to drink a lot of water. You had a ton of alcohol last night, and I am pretty sure you're a bit dehydrated right now, (Y/N)." Hawks says, leaning back up against the counter.
