Chapter 13

I don't plan on including y/n and hawks' little retreat cause tbh, I have no gah damn clue how to pick it up from there.

Light crept in and shined upon Y/N's face as she laid splayed out in bed. Hawks was at his busiest time right now with crime rates in Japan being at their height in years, so Y/N typically was just left to her lonesome; except for the occasional late-night where she was actually awake to great Hawks as he came through the door. She opens her eyes, groaning as she turns to face away from the large window in an attempt to block out the bright sun rays shining into the room. As she does so her stomach grumbles, screaming at the girl to get up and make breakfast. Y/N groans once more, this time out of frustration at the constant interruptions to her sleep. "Alright, alright, I'll get up." She grumbles, sitting up and walking out into the kitchen.

"Hawks needs to clear up his schedule so I can stop having to do the cooking." Y/N says as she gets out some bread and jam to make some morning toast. Cooking wasn't exactly Y/N's expertise, mostly out of laziness, so her breakfasts were usually either toast or cereal. She switches on the tv, chewing on a piece of toast which she'd made, watching the news about the latest villain attack on the city. This time the focus was centered on Endeavor as the cameras film him fight down yet another Nomu. Occasionally, you could see Hawks fighting down a villain on the sides, but the primary focus was on Endeavor. Y/N turns the TV off, sighing as she adds her plate to the pile in the sink. Another thing that Y/N hated. Dishes. She stares at the pule for a mere moment before walking back into the bedroom to get ready for the day. The two's little getaway was cut short by the spike in crime, which caused Hawks to get called back to the mainland.

Pulling a light jacket over her arms, Y/N steps out of the apartment, walking down to the main lobby and out into the street. Normally, Y/N would have Hawks accompany her to work, but considering the circumstances, that wasn't such a frequent occurrence anymore. She sighs "And to think we were supposed to be spending more time together..." Of course, Y/N wasn't mad a Hawks over the lack of time they had together lately, however it did hurt that she wasn't able to see him as often anymore. This wasn't something that Y/N could easily combat, however, as in doing so, she'd not only be taking safety away from the citizens of Japan but Y/N would also be endangering Hawks' job, which would just piss him off and destroy everything that the had worked so hard to build.

Short chapter, ik, but it's just to get me back into the groove of writing cause it's been a while haha. Anyways, while I am working on this fic, I am also going to be starting another one (Levi x reader) so look out for that one!
