^^That looks so good. Currently as I write this little note, it's 2:16 am August 9th and I'm hungry because of this picture. Please be aware that I barely know how to cook. I once burned tomato sauce (true story, ask my mom). Though, I can make pasta, that is my specialty. So bear with me! Most of this is gonna be cooking.

⚠warning⚠: swearing, body shaming

She walked home, successfully making it there before them, and got right to making food. At home, (Y/N) wasn't treated like someone who lived there, she was treated like a servant. She was expected to make food, clean the house, mow and water the lawn. And somehow, she was able to do all this and finish her homework.

Though, today she got more homework than usual which meant, she would have to make something simple that looked elegant. And putting those two adjectives together meant, pasta. Pasta was an easy, elegant dish to make, which would give her time to clean the house and do her homework.

Looking into the pantry, searching for a familiar large, blue box containing sspaghetti. After having located it, she placed it on the counter and went to find the other ingredients. Peering into the spice cabinet, she quickly grabbed her crushed black pepper and salt shaker. Placing those on the counter, she turned and went to the refrigerator, opening and grabbing the tub of butter, and some thyme along with, a bar of Mizithra cheese and placed them down the counter.

Bending down, her (E/C) eyes searched for a pot, a cheese grater, a small container, a strainer, a plastic jar to fill up with water. Once she found them, she placed them all on the counter along with the other necessities.

Taking the plastic jar, (Y/N) filled it with water and poured it into the pot, which was already on the stove. Turning the heat on, she turned around and grabbed the box of pasta. Opening it up and carefully putting 8 oz, half of the box, inside the pot. Now waiting for it to boil.

She took a spoon and measured 8 oz of butter and placed it in the pot, alongside the spaghetti. Turning around to face the counter again, grabbing the small container, the cheese and cheese grater. Placing the grater in the container, she took the cheese and pressed it against the small, sharp bumps, and pushed into it, dragging the cheese down. (Y/N) repeating the action until she saw that she had enough grated cheese.

Grabbing the container full of cheese, she placed it to the side and directed her attention to the pasta which was now, fully inside the pot. Looking inside her drawer, she grabbed a wooden spoon and started to turn the pasta.

Taking a limp noodle in her fingers, she carefully blew on it, making sure it was cool enough for her to place in her mouth. Once sufficient, she took a bite out of it, checking to see if it was ready. Shaking her head no, she ate the rest of the noodle and took the salt and pepper, sprinkling some inside and, mixing it. Enough to give it a tiny taste, just until she put the rest in after straining it.

Turning around, she leaned against the counter and waited for the pasta to finish. (Y/N) slowly removed herself from the counter and searched for a cutting board. Having found the cutting board, she took a knife from the stand. Taking the thyme, she quickly washed it and, began cutting into it. Making the large greens into smaller pieces for the pasta.

After having cut the greens, she checked on the pasta again, repeating the same thing she did the first time. This time, it was ready. She turned the heat off, grabbing the strainer and placing it in the sink. (Y/N) then proceeded to grab the pot and carefully poured the spaghetti into the strainer. Placing the pot to the side, she took the strainer in her hands and began to give it a small shake, getting all the water out.

Grabbing the pot again she put the spaghetti inside. Once again, sprinkling some salt and pepper and, mixing it. (Y/N) turned around and grabbed the cutting board full of thyme and placed the greens inside, mixing the pasta again.

"Finished." She said, with a smile on her face. (Y/N) was quite proud of herself. She had never made this type of pasta before. Heading upstairs, she started on her homework.
–––––––––

Turning off the vacuum, (Y/N) looked over at the clock, 5:31. Her mother's boyfriend and mother would be home any minute, unless it was one of those rare days that they got home at 7pm from the bar.

Returning the vacuum to where it goes, there was a faint sound. A jangle of keys. They were home. Running to the kitchen (Y/N) got plates set and served the pasta, topping it off with the grater cheese. She put the plates in the spots they sit at. The silverware and napkins already set, since (Y/N) didn't want to make the same mistake she had in the past.

THUD

A loud sound came from outside. Followed by another one except this one lighter. (Y/N) recognised those familiar thuds. They had passed out. Meaning, (Y/N) would have to drag them inside and put them on the couch until they woke.
–––––––––

With one last heave, (Y/N) was able to successfully put both adults on the sofa and couch. Checking the time again, 6:02.

Getting them on the furniture took st least a half and hour?!
Yeah, you could've done it faster if you worked out more.
Not now, please.
You never work out. You just accumulate fat, don't you?
Just leave me alone.
Skip a meal.
No, I made it myself.
Skip a meal.
No.
You deserve it.
I do, don't I?

Hi! It's me. It's currently 3:36 am and I know I haven't updated this in a while but I just haven't had the motivation. But then again, I don't have the motivation for anything.
I love you all! Stay safe!
