wow, he's hot.

Ryan pulled up to the school parking lot. The school parking lot was behind the school, but had a sidewalk leading up to the front or the back entrances. They had no cameras there, really stupid. Students would go out and smoke, drink or do both in between classes. The teachers could, frankly, care less of what happened to the students. Though there were some exceptional teachers that actually cared for the safety, and future of their students. Those teachers always noticed something was going on at home with (Y/N), but never had enough evidence to prove it since she always covered up the bruises.

(Y/N) always found it nice that those teachers cared but the voice always found a way to make her think they pitied her. That was the same with Ryan. She found it nice that he cared for her but again, it was the same 'oh he just pities you.'
But she started to notice that everyone that cared for her always seemed to pity her. Almost like a pattern. She only thought about that when Ryan started to get more involved but quickly pushed it aside. While he may only be caring for her because he pities her, it felt nice.

Ryan turned off the car and took out the key. He looked over to (Y/N), but she seemed deep in thought. He, at first, thought nothing of it until he saw her frown. He didn't like seeing her frown. It made him feel like all his attempts at making her happy were just not working. He knew his attempts were working, slowly but surely. She was smiling more. Not those fake smiles everybody bought. They were genuine ones, and that made him happy. So, seeing her frown, he decided to interrupt her thoughts. Hopefully interrupting whatever horrible thoughts she was having.

"Hey, (Y/N)," She looked up and turned to Ryan, raising her eyebrows in question, "We're here." (Y/N) looked through the windshield and saw the school, "Oh, okay."
It was odd how soft her voice sounded, it sounded sad. (Y/N) grabbed her bag, and took hold of the handle, but Ryan stopped her, softly grabbing her arm. She looked back at him as he started to stutter something out, "W-will you have lunch with me?"

Is he serious?

Ryan must have noticed her dumbfounded face, because he quickly said, "Well, only if you want to." She smiled, loosely touched by his request, "Yeah, that'd be great." He smiled back at her.
