I start to really hate snakes

I was unable to move. I was able to think but nothing more. So I was thinking. I was thinking while Leah was running toward me. I was thinking that maybe the snake was venomous and that I’ll die slowly because of the poison. That maybe the magic would be destroyed because of me. Because of my defeat. When Leah arrived near me I felt that she was doing something to save me. Or at least to try. It was really painful but I started to feel better. I felt less pain but I felt tiredness overwhelm me. After two minutes of struggle I fell asleep.
This sleep wasn’t dreamless. I dreamed a lot about what the future could look like.
I dreamed about Lamia. She was trying to create a new spell. A spell that was able to bring back Clytius from Tartarus. As she was about to achieve it I noticed something on the ground behind her. Something I definitely didn’t want to see. My companions dead bodies were lying on the floor behind her. I wanted to yell, to cry but I couldn’t do anything. It was like I was just a doll watching a movie. Just as I realized I also noticed that a cage was hidden in the dark behind Lamia. And I knew the person in that cage too. I knew him well in fact because it was me. I was seeing myself locked in a cage and totally helpless. The worst in it ? It wasn’t finished. Lamia suddendly stopped whispering and looked at me (the one in the cage). She opened the cage and took me with her. She grabbed a knife and started whispering again. But suddendly she stopped whispering and slit my throat.
At this moment I was shocked. But it wasn’t finished yet. Lamia looked at me. The real me I mean.
« You see what will happen ? » she said « All of it is your fault. You can’t stop me ! Give up your quest and I’ll be merciful. But if you don’t give up I’ll make sure that all the things and all the people you love would disappear. » 
I remained silent. I still couldn’t do anything.
« You don’t trust me ? See what I can do ! »
She stretched out her arms and I felt like I was melting into the ground. I didn’t see anything for a while. When I could see again I saw that I was now at the very top of the Eiffel Tower. So I was in Paris. But not the Paris I liked. This Paris was destroyed. All the places I could see were in ruins. I could only see monsters and destruction everywhere. And Lamia laughing in the middle of it all. Another time I felt like I was melting into the ground. Another vision. Another horror and destruction vision. I was now in the Camp but everything was on fire. I saw a lot of dead bodies surrounding me and I noticed that Lou Ellen was part of them. Only a few demigods were still alive and fighting the monsters. But they were way too much for them. The battle would come to and in a few minutes. And demigods wouldn’t win.
Lamia appeared next to me.
« You’ve seen what I can do. You know that I’ll not let you stop me from realizing my plans. But….»
She was interrupted by Leah’s voice.
« NOAH ! WAKE UP ! »
I woke up and looked around with a panic-stricken look.
« Where is she ? » I asked completely panicked
« Where is who ? » Leah answered
« Lamia…..The camp…..Paris ! » I said
« Calm down ! Nothing that you say makes sense ! »
I looked around more calmly. I started to remember all of the events.
« So it was just a dream ? » I asked
« What was just a dream ? » Kyle answered as he was walking toward us
I started to tell them what I’ve seen. Our death, Paris and the camp on fire and the death of all of our friends. I told them anything that I remembered. When I was done we remained silent for a while. We needed time to handle. Leah was the first one to talk again.
« It was just a dream ! » she said « We couldn’ give up the quest ! »
« And we will not » I said « But what if she shows me the truth ? What if she wins ? »
« She will not win » Kyle answered « Nothing bad could happen as long as we’re together »
« And remember that she doesn’t want us to disturb us. She wanted to make us doubt. That’s why she showed those things to you. » Leah said
« If she wants us to stop then it means that our quest isn’t so helpless » Kyle added « She fears us. She fears you especially. »
« Yeah you’re right » I answered
Of course they were right. Lamia just wanted us to doubt and I was almost going to give her the victory.  We couldn’t give up. And we wouldn’t. We would not be defeated and we would achieve our quest eventhough it takes impossible efforts to do it.
« How long have I slept ? And what have I missed ? » I asked
« You’ve been asleep for almost an entire day » Leah answered « And you didn’t miss much I think. What is the last thing you remember ? »
« Being paralyzed after the snake’s attack »
« After that I looked after you to the best of my ability. » she answered « And Kyle made sure that we were safe but nothing bad happen. No attack. »
« No attack ? It may be a good sign ! We can go find Lamia. » I said
« Not so fast ! » Leah answered « The fact that nobody attacked isn’t really a good sign. It could also shows that she’s preparing an army and wants all of her forces to join. And you still need to rest anyway. If you use magic now you’ll faint after one spell »
« And I think you need to rest too » Kyle said looking at Leah « You’ve been taking care of him since the attack. Even when I wasn’t asleep. You definitely need some rest. »
I looked at her. She was taking care of me since the attack. Almost an entire day. This woman was definitely the best person I’ve ever met.
« I’m going to watch » Kyle added « I’ll try to make sure nothing happen while you rest. »
« Are you sure that you don’t need help ? » leah asked
« It’s okay » he answered « If anything happen I’ll wake you up. »
So we stayed here and tried to get some rest. But at the same time I was thinking that maybe it was the last peaceful moment until the decisive fight.
