« You couldn’t have said it earlier ?! » I said

Searching for anything that could help us in the room, I noticed that there was another door behind the monster. I immediately realized that it was just protecting it. That’s why I had just noticed it. He was hidding it behind its body.
« Maybe we don’t need to prevent it from moving. We just have to go there » I said pointing the door
« Are you sure that’s where we have to go ? » Kyle asked trying to repel the last hydra’s head to protect us
« No I’m not but the hydra seems to be protecting it »
« Okay but how do we manage to go there ? » Leah said
« The hydra is weak with only one head » I answered « Maybe we can just run at it ? »
« You don’t have a dumber plan ?! » Leah answered « It’s still able to kill us if we approach it too much ! And it will not hesitate ! »
« Can you make another barrier ? » Kyle asked
« I can but I have already used a lot of magic energy » I answered « And I have to save some to fight Lamia »
« Do you have a better idea ? » Leah said
« If you do just say it because I’ll not be able to repel it for a long time ! » Kyle warned us
I couldn’t let my friend fight alone. I didn’t have any other choice. I focused another time and tried to make another barrier. It took me more time than for the first one I’ve made but I finally achieved in doing it. I pushed the hydra to the back of the room using my barrier.
« Now run ! » I screamed
We started to run to the door with the hydra on our heels (my barrier was gone as soon as I stopped thinking about it). We managed to open the door and we entered the room closing the door behind us. I backed up and looked at the door but I didn’t hear nor feel anything. It was like the hydra had disappeared. I decided to turn around to observe the room but I didn’t see anything. This room was totally empty.
« Guys » I said « You should definitely look at that »
My friends turned around too and looked as surprised as me.
« She is not there » Kyle whispered
« But why ? I… I don’t understand » Leah said
The ground suddendly started to shake. I turned around to the door and saw that it was disappearing.
« It’s a trap ! » I yelled « The door ! »
We started to run to the door and I opened it just a moment before its disappearance. We went through and we ended up in the hydra’s room again. But the hydra was no longer there. This room was also empty and its door was also disappearing. We continued to run and passed through the door just a moment before its disappearance. We ended up in the first room and saw that its door was also disappearing as you probably guessed. We still managed to get out of Lamia’s lair. Just a moment after we went out I felt a strange tremor in the ground. I was sure that Lamia’s lair had collapsed on itself. And I was sure that it was Lamia’s doing.
« What just happened ?! » Leah said
« It was a trap since the very beginning » I answered in a whisper « She wanted us to come and die here »
« But why ? » Kyle said « Why didn’t she face us directly ? »
« And why are we still alive if she wanted us to die » Leah added
« I’m not sure but I think she’s starting to fear us. She certainly didn’t believe that we would be able to find her so maybe it scared her to see that we were here. I… I don’t know. It’s just an assumption. »
I remained silent.
« And my question ? » Leah asked « Not that I’m not glad that we are still alive but I mean I don’t understand why her plan didn’t work »
I was still thinking about it when Kyle answered.
« She probably thinked that it would take us more time to defeat the hydra. She wanted us to enter the last room but later. If we had done it I think we wouldn’t have had the time to get out »
« I was really stupid to think that it would be so easy » I said
« It’s not your fault » Kyle answered « I should have felt it was a trap. It’s my role »
« It’s not the time to find out who is responsible or to complain » Leah reminded us
Kyle smiled at her. He seemed to have already recovered.
« Yes you’re right »
Leah looked at me.
« You’re not responsible » she said « Stop thinking about that ! »
« Then who’s responsible ? »
« Nobody ! » she answered visibly upset.
She calmed down before resuming.
« We have t figure out where is Lamia now »
I remained silent thinking about it. I was shocked but I had to think faster I was sure I was missing something and I didn’t like it. Lamia had always been one step ahead. I had to prevent her from continuing to get ahead of us.
At this moment I remembered my dream. She warned me that she was going to destroy everything I loved.
Reality became clear to me. I was sure that she was heading to the Camp. She wanted to attack our friends.
