The lakeside was completely lit up. The tree trunks were embellished with fairy lights. Small lanterns dangled from the branches. Candle lit mason jars were arranged on the ground, in a way to make a pathway towards the tent in the corner. The tent was also lined with a strand of fairy lights on either side.

But the decorations weren't the reason behind the tears in Abir's eyes. Mishti tiptoed from behind and kept her hands on Abir's eyes to surprise him. But instead, the wetness that she felt on her fingers as soon as they came in contact with Abir's eyes, startled her. She instantly withdrew her hands from his eyes and came face to face with him. The tears in Abir's eyes hurt Mishti's heart. "Kya hua Abir?" She voiced her concern.
