Chapter 15~ Graves, pain, and drinking contests

~Yui's pov~
After the boys had stopped eating I cleaned up everything and put it all away thinking about my fathers cruelty. I don't even know what I did to deserve his judgment. He was so cruel to me. Everyone was... All my school 'friends' turned around and back stabbed me. All the other students abused me. The teachers hated me. My own father turned on me. The only ones that ever loved me were killed by my father..... I really did have a horrible childhood huh?
I don't know where I would be without fairy tail. They took me in. They cared when others didn't. They filled the empty hole in my life that no others could fill. Thank you, fairy tail....

~Natsu's pov~
~flashback~
When I look at Yui I see a happy girl smiling back at me, but if I look past that I see sad, sorrow and pain. Her childhood was terrible and I don't even know the half of it. I thought loosing my family was tough, hers were murdered by one of there own. Her village destroyed. Her friends, burned to crisps, tuned into ashes. Her happiness, completely obliterated. Even though after all these years of being with us, her new family, she isn't truly happy. She can never trust anyone the same. When she look at herself, she sees the scars and bruises of her past, the cuts and pain that they bring. Even if there not visible to me or anyone else, she still feels them. Every time she looks at herself it's almost like I can hear a piece of her breaking. She's so fragile and delicate. I feel like If I hug her too hard she would break, but little did I know she was already broken. I'm going to do anything and everything I can to save her broken heart, to fix her lifeless eyes and to restore the happiness and the colour to her world!~

~Yui's pov~
Today is the 16th of May. In 5 days time it will be the anniversary of my family's 11 year death day.
Dead for 11 years..... I still remember like it was yesterday there deaths.

I shake my head and lie down on the couch 'I can't think of that right now! Be happy for what you have and don't take it for granted! One day it will all disappear again. Everyone will vanish and leave me alone again. But today is not that day! Today is the day my friends fight for me! They support me for who I am and what decisions I make. They don't care if I make a fool of myself, because they will be right beside me doing the exact same thing!! That's why I love everyone at fairy tail. I love everyone. My family....'

I drift of into a peaceful sleep.

~happy's pov~
"Yui... She was so sad when we first joined the guild. When we got there she was sad and distraught. She was like a lost dog. We all waited on the day she would open up to us and reveal the truth behind her pain but that day never came. She was always locked up inside herself. She had been at the guild for 2 whole years. Natsu had joined that year. It was the year X778. I wasn't there yet but Natsu told me this story. On the 21st of May, the master said that Yui would never come to the guild on that day. Nobody knew why so Natsu went out looking for her to see why and where she went. He followed her all the way to a house, hours away from the guild. He got that and saw her sitting in something that looked like a little child's room. She was sitting in the very centre of the room crying. He knew something terrible had happened in her past so he knew the subject would be one to look at lightly. He walked over carefully and hugged her.
"I don't know what you're going through but I do know this. Everybody in the guild has had there fair share of pain and sadness. You're not alone anymore, I promise. I won't ever let anything hurt you again." He said. At that moment Yui opened up. She didn't tell him her past or anything she just... Became more friendly and happy. She was like a joyful happy kid. Like any kid should be. She has been happy ever since.

~Natsu's pov~
I got changed into my pjs and slowly crawled into bed, careful not to squish Yui. When I got there I realised that she wasn't in the bed so I got up to go look for her.
"Hey happy have you seen Yui?" I ask
"Yeah she's on the couch sleeping" he says
"Thanks little buddy" I say and walk over to the couch.
I see Yui laying there sleeping, just like happy said so i slowly bend down and pick her up gently, slowly walking towards the bedroom. 'she's so cute when she is asleep' I think to myself. She curls up to me and tucks into my scarf. A small smile forms on her flawless face.
I climb into bed and put her under the sheets and kissing her in the forehead. "Goodnight Yui, see you soon" I whisper and fall asleep next to her, happy at the end of the bed.
