Chapter 34~ libraries

~Yui's pov~
"Well I won't be able to sleep for a week..." I quietly whisper to natsu, I was currently curled up in his chest in the infirmary. Let's just say he and Gray had a few to many...

~flashback~
"GRAY!!?!?? I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DRINKING CONTEST!!!" Natsu screams from the other side of the room.
"The hell did he say? Is he challenging me!? ARE YOU CHALLENGING ME FIREBREATH?!" Gray retorts.
"MIRA?!!?!! 4 ROUNDS!!" They both scream in sync.
"Coming right up!" She cheerfully calls.

~20 odd shots later~

"I wo-*hiccup* won't loose to *hiccup* you natsu?!" A drunk Gray screams angrily
"Go Gray-Sama!! Juvia believes in you!!" Juvia cries with hearts in her eyes.
"DON- *hiccup* DONT THINK IM BACKING OFF *hiccup* THAT EASY?!!!" Natsu screams back swaying around.
As the finally shot goes down so do the boys.

~flashback ends~

Juvia carried Gray to the infirmary and is currently passed out on the floor with a nose bleed because apparently Gray still strips in his sleep, Wendy, Lucy, Carla, happy and Erza are all asleep as well and I'm to scared to sleep so I'm just not going to even try. Natsu however is out like a light, sleeping like a baby and we're both laying on the infirmary bed. I sit up on the bed and look over all of my fairy tail friends, sleeping peacefully on the floor. They are known for partying hard I guess.... I remember all the fun times we've had together and all the hard times, the funny moments and the sad. I don't know where I would be without these guys, they are my life and I love everyone in the guild.

I eventually got comfortable curled up to Natsu's sleeping body and drifted off to sleep myself.

~time skip~

"Mira I'm going on a mission okay?" I say and walk past her.
"Have fun Yui!" She says and waves goodbye.

I pull my magic bag over my shoulder and walk towards the library where my mission takes place.
"I think I'm going to pick up a few books for Lucy and Levy while in here" I smile and continue to walk towards the closed library.
"Are you Yui?" The librarian asks me. "Yes that's me, I'm here to complete your request." I smile at her.
"Well I need you to help me sort out the books, there magic books and some of them are very evil, the evil books are very powerful and I have no clue which ones they are so I need a wizard to find them and destroy them please." she says smiling.
I pull up my sleeves and start to search through them.

~timeskip~
"Ugh...." I sigh.
I've been looking through these books for 3 hours and still aren't even half way through them. I climb another rung up the ladder to get a better look when suddenly the rung falls out sending me falling to the ground. "Again?!" I scream and hit the ground hard.
"Owwwww" I moan quietly. I push myself of the ground and lift myself up looking around the room.
"Oh.. Is that..?" I say looking at a book on the floor. The picture on the cover is a photo of the fairy tail sign. I lift it up and blow the dust of the cover. I take a seat in the corner of the room and flip through the pages, it's a picture book. All the pages are picture of everyone that has ever joined fairy tail.
"Awww master makarov was such a cute little baby!" I say. There was 3 photos of everyone so far, this is definitely a magic book. All the pictures are moving around in their spot. There's a photo of when the member was born, when they were a teenager, when they were an adult and some of what they look like now.
"You can have it if you want." The librarians soft voice calls out to me, startling me causing me to gasp in shock.
"Sorry!" I whisper scream.
"That's alright dear, do you want the book?" She asks kindly.
"I-" I was about to answer but I was suddenly cut of by an icy cold blast of wind blow at me causing me to turn around, slipping over one of the magic books on the floor. I fall of the level I am- was currently standing on, plummeting to the ground. Gray.
I shut my eyes and tense up waiting for the hard pile of books to smash into my back but it never happened... "Gray?" I say instantly. I feel cold hands running up my spine causing me to shiver.
"How did you know." He says awkwardly smiling. He gently places me on the floor and steps back. The librarian softly clears her throat and I jump, bowing down instantly apologising. Gray bows and apologises as well and starts giggling to herself. "Young love" she says and steps back. Me and Gray both blush and shake out heads vigorously, at that very moment Nastu kicks down the door and starts screaming at Gray to back off of me and that he's going to kick his ass. I smile and laugh to myself. "Come on Natsu, she's only joking, you know I love you." I say to him, he instantly gets off Gray and blushes furiously, then looks at the ground.
I brush myself of and walk over to the librarian
"Thank you for your kindness and generosity but I don't need this book, please keep it, and I'm terribly sorry about my friends. They go overboard a lot." I smile at her and she laughs. "That's quite alright dear, since you have finished your job I shall give you your reward." She says very elegantly.
I instantly refuse
"Oh no, no. Please keep it for yourself. Think of it as a community service" I smile and wave at her
"But thank you for having us!" I say and drag the boys outside.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!" Natsu screams at me
"WHY DID YOU REFUSE THE REWARD!! Babe we need more food and we don't have any money! That job was supposed to prov-" natsu whines, I cut him of by pecking him on the lips.
"That's nothing you cant handle." I smile, continuing to walk towards the train station, Gray trailing behind.

The longer we walk in silence the more bored I get, I quietly start to sing quietly to myself but apparently not quietly enough!!
"HOLY CRAP YUI I FORGOT HOW GOOD OF A SINGER YOU ARE!!" Gray screams with excitement.
"I'm not that good...." I say shyly
"LIKE HELL YOURE NOT YOUR AMAZING" He continues to scream
"You don't have to be so loud" I say kind of sadly
"Oh hehe sorry" he says awkwardly. Natsu is still pouting in the background, is he jealous?
