Chapter 19~ waffles

~Yui's pov~
'Oh Natsu...' I think to myself.
I slow down my pace to a walk to catch my breath. I turn around and see Natsu and happy running after me.
"Hehehe, I was so going to beat you." I say giggling. That was close.
"NO WAY!! We so would of caught up to you! Besides you cheated anyway!" Natsu yells.
I walk back to him and hug him. I'm a lot shorter then Natsu so my head is under his chin.
"I'm sorry..." I mumble into his chest. I look up to see him blushing.
"...but I'm so going to beat you!" I say and run of as fast as I can again.
"H-h-hey!!! THAT WAS A DIRTY TRICK!!" Natsu screams while chasing after me, happy following close behind.
I burst through the guild doors and run straight to the bar.

After all this time I still don't know what happened to Miyako. She just....vanished.
My thoughts were interrupted by Natsu running into the guild.
"H-h... SINCE WHEN DID YOU GET SO FAST YUI?!" Natsu asks angrily. I just giggle
"don't underestimate us girls Natsu" I retort causing a wave of 'Ooooohs' and 'burn!!'s which only made me laugh harder.

~later that day~
~Natsu's pov~
I've been staring at Yui for the past half an hour. I can't take my eyes of her, she's just so beautiful. I really like her and have done since the first time I saw her, I don't think you feels the same though. Gajeel has been staring at levy for a while now too, maybe I should ask him what's happening.
"Gajeel, what is happened to us?" I ask confusedly.
"Didn't you dragon ever tell you? Mating season is coming up soon" he says. Hold on..... I have heard about that!
"I think I've heard of it. What happens when it is mating season?"

~Yui's pov~
I was sitting at the bar talking to Lucy and Mira when suddenly Natsu screams and has a massive nose bleed. "Ummmmmm.....?" Lucy says "huuuuuuuuh?" Mira says "okaaaaaaaaay" I say then completely ignore it and start talking to the two girls like nothing happened.
"I better go check on him " I say and walk over to Natsu who is blushing 50 shades of red with a goofy smile and swimming in his own nose bleed blood.
"Ummmmm Natsu? Are you okay?" I ask. He suddenly stands up and runs out of the guild screaming
lILL SEE YOU LATER YUI !!! BYE"
Everyone is sweat dropping, silent and confused.
"Well that happened..." I say awkwardly.

~later in the day again~
"Hey Lucy the GMGs are soon aren't they?" I ask. She squeals and giggles. "Yes!! I'm so excited it's not even funny how excited I am!!! I can't wait!" She fangirls, then quickly stops. "You can't enter them this year can you?" She says. I shake my head.
"No" I say sadly
"I can't do anything" I say. She looks at me apologetically.
"It's for the best Yui, you have to get your health and strength back to normal before you can but when your fully cured you will be back to being an s class wizard." Lucy says smiling. I half smile and nod.
"HEY THATS RIGHT!! When laxus was trying to take over fairy tail I remember Natsu say you have beaten him before. Is that true?" She says excitedly. I smile and nod again
"Oh yeah, I always beat him whenever we fight." She just falls of her chair in awe.
"NO WAY!!!! SERIOUSLY?!!?!?!" Everyone else laughs.
"Yeah she's awesome! She totally kicked his ass" Macao says
"Yeah she could beat him any day of the week." Romeo says smiling up at me. I blush a little and giggle.
"But Natsu, Gajeel, Erza and Mystogan couldn't even beat him on their own!? HOW STRONG ARE YOU!?" Lucy screams.
"She is definitely the strongest female wizard in fairy tail" Erza says. I shake my head again
"Umm have you seen yourself fight Erza? You are totally stronger!" I say. She just laughs.
"You have the nickname and everything Titania" I state.
"Whatever make you sleep at night." She says. I love fairy tail so much, I would never change this guild, not for a single second!

'I'm really not the strongest woman at all. Erza is so much stronger, and yeah I beat Laxus but I bet he wasn't even really trying, same with Erza. I can't do anything even if I was able to beat them once I'm totally useless now.' Think to myself.
I see Natsu running up to me from the other side of the guild waving his hand, so I put on a fake smile and wave back.
"Yui are you okay? You look like your concentrated on something, want some help?"
"No thank you Natsu, I'm alright. How are you going?" I ask.
"I'm great!! I've been training for the games!" He says proudly.
"Well don't over do it okay? I don't want you to get hurt 4 days before they start." I say smiling up to him. "Come on Yui, you seriously think I will hurt myself?" He says as I stand up
"Alright alright! I'm going to go home early, you coming?" I say laughing. "Yeah okay, let's go!!" He yells. Happy sits on his head and I say goodbye to everyone.

~At home~
I open the door and sigh.
"Four more days" I mumble under my breath. Natsu turns to look at me with a sandwich in his mouth
"I know right! Can't wait" he says spitting food at me.
"Oops sorry" he smiles and lays down in the couch. Oh Natsu. Happy flys out of the kitchen with a fish in his mouth and sits on my lap next to Natsu.
"Youre going kick all kinds of ass Natsu!! I know it!" Happy says. I nod reassuringly
"I wish you could fight to Yui!" Happy says. I smile sadly down at him and pet his head.
"I wish I could do anything" I say quietly, I smile and stand up, placing happy next to Natsu.
"I'm going to cook dinner, the only thing I'm good at" I laugh sadly making a poor joke and walk into the kitchen when Natsu grabs my wrist.
"Don't you dare say that! You're good at everything and you know it!" He yells. I sigh a little as tears well up in my eyes.
"No I'm not" I shake my head
"I can't do anything. I can't look after myself. I have no magic energy left anymore, I can't fight, I have lost every ability to do even the most simplest tasks I'm completely useless now." I say and try to pull my hand out of his grip, instead he pulls me into a hug.
"You're not useless to me." He says. I feel a tear slide down my cheek and quickly wipe it. Natsu's strong arms wrapped around me make me feel so comfortable.
"Please don't be sad, it makes me sad. I hate seeing you sad, you're so strong and you have been through so much. I'm so proud of you and I won't ever leave you. You can trust me, and rely on me. You're not useless at all so please don't say that" he says kindly. We stand there hugging for a few minutes. Happy in the background looking sadly to us. If it were any other situation he would of says
"you liiiiiiiike her" but he didn't.
Natsu always knows how to make me smile.

~the next day~
~Yui's pov~
I woke up early today. Like always, I was tucked into Natsu's chest. I pulled myself out of his grasp and walk to the shower, doing my morning routine.

"Waffles Wednesday" I say out loud and walk to the kitchen.
Every Wednesday Natsu wants waffles so I stay at home and make them for him. He walks into the kitchen when I'm cooking them without me noticing and slinks his arm around my waist earning a gasp from me. 'God damn he looks fine in the mornings.' I think to myself. He bends down and kisses the top of my head
"Mornin' " he says in a raspy morning voice
"Goodmorning" I say back smiling "waffle Wednesday" he says grinning "You know it." I say winking at him. Today is going to be a great day.
