Chapter 16

Bella's POV.

Bella: Wake Up Brother!

Y/N immediately opened his eyes and sat up panting while looking around.

Bella: Y/N! You're Okay!

I immediately wrapped my arms around his body and hugged him as tight as I could as I buried my head in his chest.

One of his arms was wrapped around my back while the other was rubbing the back of my head.

Y/N: I'm so glad you're alright.

It took us awhile until we pulled away as he kissed my forehead. It was so long ago since he last did it.

Y/N: Where are we?

Me and Tenn were able to drag Y/N into cover when the boat exploded behind some rocks.

On the other side were the raiders trying to fight the walkers that were attracted by the explosion off.

Bella: Me and Tenn barely dragged you over here.

Y/N: Where are the others?

I turned around towards Tennessee who was peaking out from the rocks who is looking around for our friends.

Bella: What do you see Tenn?

Before he could even open his mouth, we heard a scream coming from a girl and an explosion right after.

I stood up and helped Y/N up as he dusted off his clothes. I didn't even realize that there was a bandage covering his left eye which was wrapped around his head.

Bella: What happened to your eye?

Y/N: Let's talk about it somewhere else, alright?

Bella: okay, fair enough.

I bent down a bit and picked up the rifle I grabbed when the raiders were distracted and a few clips and held them out to Y/N.

Bella: Here. You'll do better than me.

He takes the extra clips first and puts them in his jacket's pockets. He took the gun and nodded at me as Tenn was waving over someone from behind me.

Y/N: I'll go scout ahead, see if we can find a way out of here without any walker activity.

I nod as he pulled the bolt and ran into the forest to look for a way home.

Just as I turned around, I saw Clementine vaulting over the rocks we were hiding behind with Aj behind her.

Bella: Took you guys long enough.

I held out Clementine's knife as she took it but before she could even say a thank you, I started speaking.

Bella: Y/N went ahead to look for a way back to the school. Follow me.

I began jogging in the direction I saw Y/N go with the other three following me. After a few seconds, I could see Y/N outside some kind of narrow way into a cave.

He gets startled by us and aims the rifle but then lowers it once he saw that it was us.

We went over to him as he looked at the narrow way into the cave. Clementine and Y/N looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

It looked like that Y/N already knew, but decided not to say it out loud.

We could then hear the walker growls getting louder and louder as we turn around and see a group of walkers heading towards us.
