Bella's POV.
I followed Y/N through the cave that the others went through as I caught up to him and walked beside him.

Bella: did you mean it?

Y/N: huh?

Bella: did you mean what you said earlier about her being something else?

Y/N: i don't know, my head is just so messed up right now and I don't even know what to think.

Bella: I knew it. You don't hold grudges.

Y/N: fortunately, I don't. I'm glad I don't hold grudges.

Bella: Me too.

We walked for awhile until we got to where the three were. Clementine was kneeling on one knee as she was having a conversation with Aj who was crossing his arms in front of her.

Tennessee was just standing around again as the torch next to the two illuminated the cave with its light.

Y/N: Better now than later, huh?

Bella: Go get her, tiger.

Y/N: Seriously, Tiger?

Bella: it's just a saying.

Y/N chuckles before walking off to where Clem was as i walked over to where Tenn was.

Bella: what are they talking about, Tenn?

Tenn: I think it was about what happened at the boat. Aj not killing Lilly.

Bella: better James dying and Aj being the same than James living but Aj becoming a killer.

Y/N's POV.

I walked over to Clementine who had her back facing me as she was talking to Aj.

I placed a hand on her shoulder which made her look over her shoulder. I nod at her as she says one last thing to Aj before standing up and nodding at me as I led her next to a wall to the cave.

Y/N: what were you and Aj talking about? Seems to be something serious.

Clementine: It's just about what happened at the boat with James. Why did he not just shoot her there?

I glanced over at Bella who nodded at me before I looked at her again.

Y/N: Killing must always and only be a last resort. I know that me and you have killed so many people, but with Aj, it ain't right.

Clementine: what do you mean it ain't right? JAMES FUCKING DIED!

I jump a bit from her sudden outburst as she glared at me with pure anger. I took a deep breathe which helped me calm my anger before responding.

Y/N: Look, killing is never an option, especially for kids as young as Aj and Bella.

Clementine: what do you know about the effect of killing? Mostly to kids their age?

She did it, she pulled my strings. Never had I thought that I would just be openly angry about something and just snap, let alone to my girlfriend. But my heart told me to do it, for my sake.

Y/N: why don't you use me as an example?

Clementine: the hell do you mean?

Y/N: DON'T YOU GET IT?! Ever since I had to put down our dad, I have never been the same.

She was taken back by my sudden outburst as I continued.

Y/N: ever since that day, I kept telling myself that killing was the only option to survive. Every time Bella had the opportunity to kill someone, I told her that I should do it. Every time I kill, I don't feel anything. No remorse. No shame. No pity.
