Chapter 5

Although we all continued texting each other I didn't actually see the guys until a month later. Their song i don't belong in the club has come out and they were already preparing for their next song.

I've been in the studio a lot as well, writing and working on new and fun songs. After announcing the tour with the guys I've been getting many offers for shoots and interviews which was incredible.

Hey Ellie, our manager just called me and said that we have to do a mashup to promote our tour. Do you wanna come over sometime so we can all try to work on that?

Ellie
Yeah of course!
I think I'm free tomorrow afternoon! Does that work for you guys?

Daniel
Yup! See you tomorrow :)

While I was driving over the next day I felt more and more nervous. I haven't actually worked on music with them except for that time I got their opinion but that was different!!

I pull up to their house and knock on the door.

"Hey!" Daniel Says, opening the door and giving me a hug.

"Hi!" I say stepping inside.

"Here, we can go to the living room" he says, leading me over.

"Where is everyone else?" I ask.

"I honestly have no idea but they said they will join us later. I'm usually the one who puts it all together anyways, I hope you don't mind"

"No no, let's just get started" I say.

We choose some songs and start to pick out the different harmonies to do for each part of the song.

"Okay wait can you just sing this note" I say, singing a D.

"Ooooh okay and if maybe Corbyn does the higher octave and jack takes a note somewhere in there it could sound good with the melody?" I say, and then sing with him.

"Oh okay I think Jonah would sound better singing the first note though so I'll add that in" Daniel Says.

Halfway through Daniel goes and gets a beat pad to add to everything.

We finally finish after about an hour and a half with what we think is going to sound good with the six of us, which is hard to test out cuz it's just us two.

"Yaaaaaay!!" I say giving Daniel a high five and then interlocking our fingers.

"Hopefully it sounds good!! We can always change it up later too" he says, squeezing my hand.

Just then Corbyn and jack walk in the room.

"Are you guys....doing something?" Corbyn asks, looking at our hands.

"Oh yeah we just finished the outline of our mashup thingy we have to do" I say, letting go of Daniels hand.

"Yeah, we can walk you through it when Jonah and Zach get here." Daniel Says, scratching the back of his neck.
