since stopping from taking her medicine, saying yukiko had her quirk back was definitely an overstatement. she could just breathe better, if she was being honest. but, if she was already doing that, she was sure she would be able to get her quirk back. she was 100% sure.
then, she choked a some air. okay, maybe 95%... she settled.
katsuki and yukiko walked to school every morning and night, katsuki reluctantly being there to catch her before she fell due to her legs wearing away, but, now she was all better. she did very rarely feel her feet go off balance every once in a while but she was able to catch herself, now all she needed was for the scar on the back of her head to heal. the stitches were long gone, but there was the occasional swelling and throbbing. she was thankful she was able to cover the area with her hair.
she had grizzly training with Eraser Head after school ends and then she had to deal with katsuki acting like a jackass in the morning. not just that, she didn't have a quirk to threaten him with if he gotten into fights, so really she had to rely on her physical strength for the most part, which wasn't too bad after the training with Eraser Head. although she wished that her teacher wasn't so secretive about her progress and just told her how to improve herself.
another day passed of an ache in her neck and breathing exercises and she was ready to get the training over with. she walked to the door where ochaco stood, her brows furrowed.
"what's the matter, ochaco?" yukiko turned to look at the large group of people surrounding the door, "what- hey! what are you all doing here?"
"why the heck are you all here?" she gasped.
"do you students have some sort of business with our class?" tenya asked politely.
yukiko glared at the large group, noticing the majority was first years, probably here to see the victims in the flesh.
mineta scurried forward, "why are you blocking our doorway? i won't let you hold us hostage!"
"they're scouting out the competition, idiots." katsuki cursed, "we're the class that survived a real villain attack. they wanna see us with their own eyes." katsuki stood beside yukiko, "at least now you know what a future pro looks like. now move it, extras."
"you can't walk around calling people "extras" just because you don't know who they are." tenya called to the boy.
yukiko had to agree with tenya, but when has she ever agreed with katsuki, really?
"so this is class 1-A." a student pushed through the crowd, "i heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass." he looked at katsuki. "is everyone in the hero course delusional, or just you?"
katsuki growled, and yukiko patted his shoulder, looking to the other student with messy purple hair and tired looking eyes.
"how sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs." he rubbed his head, looking at the class, stopping on yukiko, "oh, aren't you the second year who's quirk got stolen? what are you still doing here?"
katsuki glared, "he-"
yukiko tugged him back, her eyes sharp and shook her head, "not worth it."
"i wanted to be in the hero course, but like many others here, i was forced to choose a different track. such is life."
katsuki clicked his tongue and yukiko squeezed his arm to remind him to keep it leveled.
