Charlotte Regan.

“You are crazy.”

“So the first thing you thought of telling after not seeing me is am crazy? You could have said am sexy.” His smug smile danced on his lips

“Pervert.” I captured his lips

“I missed you.” He whispered.

“I missed you to.” I hugged him one more time

“Let’s get you home Cara. Mom is waiting for you.”

Joel drove us to the Williams Villa where we found an ever smiling Clarisse waiting for us.

“Welcome home Chloe” she kissed my forehead

“Thank you so much Clarisse. I missed you.”

“I missed you too baby. Let’s get you inside. Nina, get someone to take Chloe’s bags inside.”

She literally dragged me inside and forced down my throat a glass of orange juice that magically appeared from nowhere. Joel chuckled.

“What are you still doing here? Get out. Chloe and I need to start working on wedding preparations. Go and do whatever” Clarisse glared at him

“But mom, it’s my wedding too.” He whined

“Get out before I spank you.” Clarisse ordered Joel left on his heels.

Nina entered with a woman with her.

“Oh, Angelia, welcome. Come in.” Clarisse shooed her in, “Chloe, this is Angelia, a wedding planner. Angelia, this is Charlotte the bride.”

“Nice to meet you Charlotte.”

“Nice to meet you too Angelia. But please call me Chloe” we shook hands.

“Chloe, tell me what you want your wedding to be like?” and so I began explaining my wedding idea.

“Chloe, you need to wake up.” Clarisse woke me up.

“What’s up Clarisse?”

“Your dress designer is here. Let’s get downstairs” she said enthusiastically.

I swear she seemed more excited about this wedding than I was. We got downstairs, and we met up with the designer.

“What do you see yourself getting married in Chloe?” Rose, the designer asked

“for the church, I want a full blown ball gown with bling beadings. An illusion arm and neck. For the reception, I want a form fitting flair lacey gown.”

“Perfect. I have some gowns similar to those. I want you to try them, and tell me the changes you want and I can have your gown ready by next week.”

“That soon?”

“The wedding is in two weeks. It’s not too soon. It’s too late.”

“If you say so.” I still couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I was getting married in two weeks

“Go upstairs and rest. We will finish up here. Tomorrow, we have cake and wine testing, picking flowers and the decor.” Clarisse said 2 hours later after trying all the dresses and giving out my changes. Surely parading in over a hundred wedding gowns can be pretty tiring.

“Okay Clarisse, I will go and sleep. See you tomorrow.” I went upstairs.

Get pizza. Too tired to wait for supper.
Love,
Your future wife.

I sent the text to Joel and slept.

                         *********************
“Wake up Cara, you need to eat.” Joel whispered

“Five more minutes.” I mumbled.

“You said that an hour and a half ago. Wake up now.” I groggily opened my eyes

“I hate you.”

“I love you too darling.”

“Am so tired.”

“What got you that tired?”

“Your mom made me parade in a hundred wedding gowns, so yeah, am tired.”

“Am sorry love it will be over soon.”

“I know. I can’t wait to be your wife.”

“And I can’t wait to be your husband.”

And in two weeks we got married.
