October 3rd started off as a completely normal day.

7:30 am- Get coffee/ breakfast
7:45 am- Catch an Uber to work
8:00 am- Sign into work
8:30 am to Lunch- Finish most of the work for today.
Except, one little thing had changed.
"Y/N!" A friendly voice called out to me. I looked up to find my best friend, Lina skipping towards me.She arrived at my cuticle quickly and before I could even open my mouth, exclaimed, "We have a new boss! He seems so cool compared to Mr. Lin! And he's incredibly handsome!"
I blinked at her and let out a laugh, "Could you repeat that sir?"
Lina rolled her eyes, sitting daintily on my desk, "I'm serious! He's supposed to talk to all the staff today before lunch."
I glanced at the clock at my desk. 11:58 am.
"Well, if he's planning to do it before lunch, he better hurry up. It's two till." I replied nonchalantly.
It's not like I didn't want to meet the new boss; I just didn't care. So what if we got a new one? The old one wasn't that bad… just old… and cranky… and kind of weird. But he wasn't terrible!
'I just hope this new one doesn't bother me.' I thought to myself.
Just as the clock struck 12 I heard a loud, deep voice call throughout the room. I looked at Lina who excitedly whispered to me, "It's him!" Standing up, I looked towards the voice.
"Ladies, Gentlemen, I am Mr. Kim, your new boss. I hope we all can become friends. That said, work hard, because if you slack off, I will know."
He scanned the room and we made eye contact. His brown orbs glared into mine intensely, so intensely I had to look away.
Mr. Kim smirked before continuing,"Tonight I would like to invite you all to join me for drinks. I would be delighted if you all came. Dismissed."
I looked up again at him to find his eyes glued on me once again. I gulped before taking a deep breath. Mr. Kim smiled at me before turning and walking to the office.
"Y/N?" I turned to find Lina looking curiously at me, "You ok?"
"Yeah…" I replied, glancing at the closed office door, "Let's just go to lunch, Lina."
She nodded and I grabbed my purse, slinging it over my shoulder. She linked her arm through mine and drug me to the elevator, grinning. As we stood in the elevator, she started giggling. I looked over at her and smiled, "What?"
"Isn't he hella hot!" Lina exclaimed and I burst out laughing. She joined in and I replied, "I guess?"
• • •"Y/N, Mr. Kim will see you now."
I had returned from lunch with Lina to find Selene, the boss's secretary, waiting for me at my desk. Apparently Mr. Kim wanted to see me for some odd reason, and that most definitely churned my stomach.I slowly rose from my seat outside the office and cracked open the door. Mr. Kim was sitting in his chair, typing on his computer when he suddenly glanced up at the door and smiled.
"Come on in Ms Y/N." His deep voice sounded throughout the room. Taking in a deep breath, I slid into the office nervously.
He chuckled, "You can close the door you know." Pushing out a nervous laugh, I closed the door and inched my way closer to his desk. He motioned for me to sit in a chair, and I did so, biting the inside of my cheek.
'Damn it, I thought, Why am I so nervous?'I swear my heart was thudding so loud the whole building could probably hear it.
Mr. Kim cleared his throat and I glanced up at him. "Don't act so nervous Ms Y/N. You have nothing to be nervous about." He told me.
"I don't?" I squeaked loudly and he laughed.
I nervously chuckled along with him, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, a nervous habit of mine.
"I like you Ms Y/N." Mr. Kim told me after he managed to stop laughing.
"Uhm, thank you sir?" I asked. All of a sudden he stood and walked around his desk and behind my chair. I nearly jumped when he placed his hands on either side of the arm rests. I felt his breath on my ear and immediately shivered.
"I want you to be my assistant." Mr. Kim whispered in my ear, his breath tickling my face.
Frozen in my seat, I stammered, "I- um- Yeah?"
He chuckled, his mouth still near my ear, before replying.
"Yeah."
I gulped and nodded, "Ok." I whispered.
"Good girl." Mr. Kim said quietly, lightly licking my ear.
I immediately turned beet red, still frozen in my seat. He straightened and moved back to his chair, smirking at me. Immediately I relaxed and looked down in an attempt to hide my face.
"You are dismissed. Move all of your things to the desk outside my office. I will let Selene know she is moving to the front office." Mr. Kim's voice returned to his usual business tone, "Be quick, or else." He smirked at me. I stood as quickly as I could and excused myself from the office.
I practically ran to my desk to collect my things. Once I reached Selene's desk, she was collecting the last of her things as well. She looked up at me, "Good luck Y/N." She told me quietly, glancing at the office door.
Before I could say anything she was gone. Sighing, I placed my things on the desk and arranged everything. Mr. Kim's voice sounded from the intercom, making me jump.
"Come for drinks tonight with us, Ms Y/N." He told me.
I hesitantly pressed the button before leaning forward to talk, "Sir, I usually don't go to office gatherings." I replied quietly.
I heard Mr. Kim chuckle, "It wasn't a suggestion, Ms Y/N. I'll see you tonight."
I began to protest but shut my moh before letting out a huge sigh. I let go of the button and leaned back in my chair.
'How the hell did this happen?'
