Bowser was in his office, working out some paperwork from ruling his kingdom and the big cities he owns. He was stumped on this one thing. One of his branches, the farmers, wanted a raise, saying they deserve better. Of course he could give them a raise, but that would make his other branches want raises too, and that too much money.

Bellflower walked in his office freely in another new dress and sat on the edge of his desk. Bowser looked at her and sent a warning glare that she ignored it. She picked up one of the papers and looked at it and Bowser went back to his work.

"Ah, the farmers want a raise," Bellflower said as she kept on reading. She picked up more papers and read them too. Bowser leaded back in his swivel chair and let out a groan.

"It's confusing. If I do give them a raise, the other branches will want one too, but there are too many branches," he growled. Bellflower looked at more papers before coming up with a  solution.

"Just give them better equipment. The other branches won't even notice, if anything, they might think you're being kind by giving to the hard working farmers," she stated plainly. Bowers looked at her then looked back at the papers.

"That's exactly what I was thinking obviously!" he gloated, trying to fix his huge ego. Bellflower rolled her eyes playfully, used to his narcissistic self. She hopped off his desk and sat in the comfy chairs next to his desk. She pulled out a book and sat in comfortable silence with Bowser.

But not once did she turn a page.

She was never reading the book, she was looking at Bowser. Over the few weeks she had been his friend, she developed feelings for him. Hard ones. It shocked her as much as it could. She looked at Bowser, watching how he wrote with the ink pen, how some smoke puffed out of his nose whenever he got mad, how he grinned at himself everytime he fixed something in his kingdom.

She was in love with Bowser.

Talk about stockholm syndrome, she thought sarcastically.

Unbeknown to her, Bowser had caught feelings for his enemy's younger sister. He thought that his heart belonged to Peach, but once he met Bellflower, those feelings left. She treated him right, she actually cared for him, she wasn't afraid of him and she would call him out on things no one would. He needed that, he needed love.

He was in love with Bellflower.

Those two always took long walks, played games, cooked together, helped each other out, especially Bellflower when it came with helping Bowser's Kingdom. Yes, she admits, she is helping out the enemy, but Bowser's kingdom needed it.

Bowser stamped the paper to show his approval and went on to the next one. He took a glance at a Bellflower and saw that she was staring at him from behind the book she was 'reading'.

"Like what you see?" he charmed as he puffed up his chest. Bellflower put down her book and looked ato Bowser.

"Yes," she said amused. Obviously they have been caught staring at each other in the past few weeks, so they brushed it off and turned it into a small game. Every time one was caught staring at each other, they would say 'like what you see?' and the other would respond to 'yes'.

It started when Bowser was staring at a Bellflower cook. When she turned around, she was shocked to see Bowser staring at her. She quickly regained her composer and smirked,"Like what you see?". Bowser answered truthfully, "Yes,". Bellflower thought he was joking along and it just turned into a small game. Though neither said anything about their blush.

Bellflower walked up to Bowser's desk, wanting to see what he was working on. She leaned over his shoulder, not noticing how his breathing got just a bit heavier. Bowser turned his head to look at her, both shocked to see how close their faces were.

Bellflower looked into the king's eyes and he did the same as their heads slowly leaned forward to each other, wanting to do the thing they have longed for

Their heads were 7 inches apart.

Bellflower felt blush rush up her cheeks.

6 inches.

Bowser turned his body facing her.

5 inches.

Bellflower leaned her hands on his chest.

4 inches.

Bowser put his hands over hers.

3 inches.

Bellflower tilted her head closer.

2 inches.

Both of their eyes fluttered shut.

1 inch.
