My phone woke me up, blasting the annoying ring tone. My head was swimming, I couldn't remember a thing from last night.

"Open your door!" Alex whispered over the phone.

        "It's open, just come in."

"Alright." Alex hung up and I heard the front door open.

"I'm in here!" I said as loud as I could. Alex pushed open the door and smiled at me. He was holding coffee and a bag of food.

"I come bearing gifts!" He held the stuff up in the air.

I sat up as fast as I could and held my arms out to him, "you are a life saver."

"I know I know." He handed me the coffee and a bagel, "hazelnut with 2 creams and a sugar."

I sipped it and smiled at him, "you remembered."

"Of course." He sat on the edge of the bed and held my hand.

        "What happened last night?"

"Nothing, your car is still at the banquet hall and you left your shoe in my car."

"Wow, sounds like a wild evening."

"Oh, it was. Are you free tomorrow night?" He asked.

        "Probably, why?"

"My friend is having this costume party and I need a Bonnie to my Clyde."

"I'd be honored." Alex leaned in and kissed me, He pulled my covers back over me.

"I'll be picking you up around, 8?"

"Sounds perfect. I'll get a costume tonight. Don't leave."

"I gotta go sunshine. See you tomorrow." As soon as he'd been there he was gone and I was alone drinking hazelnut coffee and smiling to myself.

After 3 Advil and a shower I felt a lot better. I called my friend Haley, she was good with costuming and things like that. We met at a local costume store and found a very 1930's dress and a blonde wig.

"So, who's your Clyde?" She asked, wrapping a feather boa around her neck.

"His names Alex. We met at a party a few weeks ago."

"Ooh la la!" She said, looking at herself in the mirror. She had put on a long blonde wig and flicked it over her shoulder.

"Yeah, I guess." I looked at myself in the mirror. I wanted to impress him so much. I hoped this would be enough.

"Well trust me honey, any guy would knock you up in that dress."

        "Haley!"

"What? You're 23! Liz just got married, Jamie and Matt are adopting a little African boy in the spring. It's nothing to be ashamed of."

"It's not like that. He's different."

"He's not husband material? I got it. I mean this guy I'm dating now, Jake. He's a complete asshole, I mean I'd never let him meet my mom or anything but he's just so sweet! Yesterday he bought me this." She stuck out her hand and showed my a Tiffany bracelet.

"Wow!" I grabbed her wrist and looked at it, "He got you this?"

"Yup. I mean he's a drug dealer, that's how he got it but still! Ain't I just the luckiest girl you've ever met?" She grabbed a dress she'd been looking at and ran into a dressing room.

She walked out in a slinky red dress that made her look like Jessica Rabbit.

"So?" She said, "will Jake like this?"

        "I can't believe you're dating a drug dealer, Haley! That's really bad!"

"Hey, as long as he's not making me smoke it I don't care what he does when he's not in bed with me." She fluffed hair and fixed her lipstick. We paid for our dresses and went to Chelsea's house to make sure she was okay after last night.

I took my key and pushed open the door. I didn't want to wake up her up after last night. Her washing machine was on and I heard a voice in the bed room.

"I'm keeping your shirt." I heard Chelsea say.

"Come on Chelsea. I gotta go. Paige is wondering where I am." Sean said.

"I thought you said you broke up."

"I'm working on it babe. You just gotta give me some time."

"Please don't leave. If you love me, you'll stay."

"I gotta go." He opened the door and quickly walked past us buttoning his pants and not wearing a shirt.

We ran into the room and Chelsea was laying in her bed crying her eyes out.

"Chelsea we heard everything. I'm so sorry, what a jerk." Haley grabbed her hand and sat on the side of the bed.

"What I'm I gonna do? He left me all alone. He doesn't love me! He loves Paige." She cried into her pillow.

"Let's tell Paige." Haley smiled evily.

"Haley! What no!" I tried to explain, we couldn't ruin Sean's life and Paige would be heart broken.

"No. Let's do it." Chelsea wiped her face and got out of bed. She pulled on some jeans and a tshirt under Sean's shirt.

Haley drove us to Sean's house and Chelsea knocked on the door. I couldn't help but be nervous. Sean had been our friend for so I long. I couldn't help but feel like we were making a mistake.

After 5 minutes of no one answering the door Chelsea had Haley pick the lock as I sat in the car ready to drive away at any moment.

Chelsea stormed in and I could hear her screaming from outside. She was yelling calling Sean a "man whore" and a "dirty bastard". Sean yelled back at her when suddenly it was silent. After a moment you could hear Haley going off like mad. She was screaming obsinities and knocking things over. I'd never seen Haley so mad.

Haley, Chelsea, and Paige all walked out together. Slamming the door behind them and got into the car. Chelsea's nose was bleeding and they told me everything. Paige had no idea that Sean was cheating on her and Sean had punched Chelsea in the nose so Haley had crushed a vase over his head and kicked him in the chest. I couldn't help but laugh.

I'd never seen Chelsea so happy in her entire life. I was glad it was all over with Sean now. I can tell a bad egg.
